Being conservative does not make someone a fascist. I understand that is a liberal-minded talking point. But it cannot be proven. And it's only devices at best
J6, Donald Trump and republican candidates prove it every day of the week, all the actual conservatives are independents or even democrats these days, about 28% are republican and about 33% are the average for arseholes in any society.

Check them off, they only apply to republicans, silence is also complicity.

You heard it from the man himself. Not all conservatives/Republicans are fascist and he asked for their help to stop Republican fascism.

Liz Cheney, Adam Kissinger are two examples. So is Mitt. No doubt I have strong differences with but neither are they fascist.

For me, the bright and clear dividing line is whether or not the person supports Trump in his claim that the election was stolen and subsequent denial that Jan 6 was an attempt to overthrow the 2020 election. There are other red flags for fascist Republicans but those two criteria sort out at least 90%.

Until I saw that crowd attacking the Capitol Building on Jan 6, I thought we just had differences of opinion. But not after. It wasn't just the people inside either. Right wing media were already spreading lies about what was going on. It's clear there are enemies within this State that must be stopped. They aren't conservative, either. They are absolutist authoritarians whose leader at the moment is Trump. It's more of a cult than a political movement.

This is correct. There are a bunch of conservatives here, they vote Democrat now, left the Republicans over trump. People give them shit about it. There's a whole line of criticism about how the dems moved to the right as they picked up those conservatives.

It is pretty interesting that total party enrollment didn't drop...those new Republicans though...oof. If your political party specifically targets RINOs and moves to push out moderates, what sort of folks came in to fill that void? Who are your new voters?

That is correct. Conservatives are not fascists. The current GOP is not conservative.
(edit) late to the party

It is only divisive from the perspective of those who embrace the current GOP’s fascism, which has a considerable dominionist component.
