This is BHO, and the bud used to make it;

1 Oz. 8 Ball Kush
3 Cans Nibo triple Distilled Butane
1 Pyrex Bowl
1 Pyrex Casserole Dish

1.5 Cans per tube of high quality smoke, for bunk weed, or trimmings etc. I would use less because there's a smaller amount of THC to collect.


Works out to 1.5 cans per 1/2 oz...
 
3 cans for 1 OZ? How big are the cans? I'm using 3 cans to 100 grams of flower or 150-200 of trim. Either way your oil came out looking nice.

I've experimented with using different amounts of butane, and I'm come to find that using an extra can gives me more yield, with negligible, if any, loss in quality. Previously, I used 1 can per 1/2 oz.... with great results, I just felt I could get more THC out of the buds.... (buds were still just covered in trichomes when I emptied my BHO tube...)

Keep in mind I used AAA buds to make this oil, no shake, no leaves, no trim.... just straight up bud.

I also make Iso oil, butter, cooking oil, and various other types/methods of BHO.... whipped, shatter, wax.... you name it I've generally tried making it.

Alright, that's a good reason to use an extra can. Just gotta make sure you purge all the butane out. And it looks like you did. Glad to see another person that knows what they're doing. Lol. And nice oil rig! I'm getting a new piece sometime this week. My bong just has golden wax resin too. I've hit it a few times. Smell and taste aren't really good, but it still gets you pretty baked. It's by far, way better then weed resin.

Thanks man! Yeah I haven't smoked weed resin in years, and I don't intend to ever smoke it again... when I was a kid, and couldn't afford puff I'd clean a pipe to get high. Now, my tastes are too refined, and I'd rather not get high than smoke resin... lol

I purged this oil about 5 times.... heat it, glob it up, spread it out, pop it all, rinse, repeat... there's a couple steps that I consider trade secrets that I can't reveal as well! Everyone has their little tricks!

Oh fuck yeah, i hate resin. The wax resin was golden so I had to see if it was any good but I knew it wouldn't be that good because it's resin. Lol.
 
you guys ever tried fresh wet trim? or do you always dry yours? ive done it a few times with dry but i didnt know if it would make a difference. i know you can use wet with other methods.

Not sure why someone would atrt a thread pronouncing "This is how it is done", and then say I cannot tell you exactly how I do it. :wall:

Too much poor quality tane for an oz, low yield, yikes...

I'm gonna stick to my tech
 
how much wax did you yield? if its only that dish that looks like a gram or so and that would not at all be a turnout worth doing again
