bho problems,

i make bho for personal use, ive been using a mix of bubble hash and sugar trim in a qp extractor, and water purge until all visible bubbles are gone (no whipping at all).
It comes out a bright clear gold yellow smexy color. but it always ends up a very thick sap and never shatter, the parchment paper opens clean and the sap lifts with next to no effort. i dont have money for a vacuum and i dont have access to grain alcohol so neither of these are options

its hard like shatter on a cold day but when warmer it leaves fat finger prints,

how can i stabilize this to full shatter, any advise on the subject would help greatly, ive heard some people talking about just leaving it out for a week after water purging, is the any credibility to this. and are food storage vacuum pumps an option?

You might consider heating it with a heat gun in small batches to thin it out on parchment paper. Careful that you don't decarboxylate it in the process.

I'm new to the whole BHO thing so feel free to correct me if my findings are wrong or off..I'm just in the early learning phase..
When I make my wax/honeycomb I am doing so at low temps in a vac purge chamber to gas off the butane and dehydrate the oil; turning up the temp slightly to get it to wax up after that.
During a couple of my runs when I was experimenting I made shatter without trying to produce that product.
It was at the point in my vac purging process when the gassing off had ended ( no more tane bubbles and the oil was very "stable?" and just sitting there in a quiet pool) and the oil was at 100F. I took it out of the vac chamber and set it on the counter cause I thought I fucked it up cause I was trying to make honeycomb wax.
When I picked it up later on it completely broke into glass shards. It wasn't bendable at all at room temperature.

So if I'm thinking right I think if you made sure it was air purged as much as possible first, then very carefully and slowly heated it to around the 100F range for awhile to further warm purge any left over gas out then let it settle you might be on that road to shatter.

Fadedawg when you say to be careful to not decarboxylate it do you say that so that you keep the THCA in tact fully until the user burns it at a later time where the oil will then convert it to THC? Trying to get an understanding of this chemistry. Don't want to de rail this OP's thread but since you mentioned it here..

I googled it but would like to hear your take on it since you obviously know your shit!
