Beyond Dreams North Genetics pheno hunt

Hows everyone doing!? Hopefully good. So since I can't start a journal here I'm just gonna use a forum.
So as you prolly guessed I am running a pack of beyond dreams from north genetics. 10 seeds. Started them 2-1/2 days ago in water. 24 hours later into a paper towel. And today I was 10:10!
They're all in solo cups now.


So for the seedlings nothing too special. 17 watt t5 and 2 24w 6500k cfl. I used to use the propagation setup with the clone dome and all that crap. But it's all a waste of time. Never had an issue since I went to this way.
Setup:
Promix hp perlite 75/25
Blue planet nutes farmers pride organics
Veg is in a 4x3 tent currently running 2x mars300s
Flower is in a 5x5 tent, but I am currently 1/2 way through my flower room build. It'll be a 6x7 room within a week. Running 2x growers choice cmh315s. 3kr se and a 4K de bulb.
Both have vivosun scrubbers. Veg is passive intake and flower has a small inline fan for intake. Hurricane oscillating fans in both. And I run an 8k btu ac in flower.
Temps are 72-80
Rh is 45-60%
Ph at 6.3-6.4
Top feeding for the moment but I'd like to set up an ebb n flow eventually.
Plan is to veg for 5 weeks, take clones of everything, and flower a week later. Pull the males, hermies, uglies, etc.... and run the best couple phenos next run.
This is my first real pheno hunt so hopefully all goes well. I'll be posting updates till the end. Come along for the ride. Learn something, teach me something, have a fucking blast!

Vivosun scrubbers. ughhh. Weigh one of those when you get a chance, then look up the specs on a similar sized phress or cann filter. Should be about 15% of the weight of the better filters. The vivosun filters I bought had paper elements, not carbon granules. It lasted one run in my main tent and then did nothing.

Otherwise, looks good.

They’re heavy. Rattle like they’re full of stone. But I’ve never checked. Been in there for a year and no smell unless the tents are open. And for the price they really can’t be beat for me. Plus they’re easily refilled. $5 dollars for a bag of charcoal online and only 3 rivets to pop. They’re being replaced at the end of the year so when I pop em open I’ll post about it.

8 of 10 day 3. Trying something different for light. Only 9 cups fit under there. The 2 are the ones that haven’t popped thru yet. May have to slightly stagger em to get all 10 in there. May not be bright enough either.

Still at 8 of 10. Day 5.
Threw baggies over the last two for a last ditch effort to get them thru. But looking like I’m gonna end up with 2 no gos. Not bad. 9 for 11 overall.

Day 7 and still 8 of 10 growing. Looking good. Pulled the plug on the other 2. No tap roots when I pulled em.
Nothing but a 15 dollar light from the lumber store and some 6.5 ph reverse osmosis water so far. Half way thru seedling stage. Less than 50 days they should be in flower!

Awesome progress! When do you plan on giving them more light to speed things up?

I like to keep em under the low light for 2 weeks. After that they’ll head to the veg tent but under indirect light for a couple days. Then I’ll move em into the fold. 5 weeks there and into flower. Or at least that’s my plan. May end up with an extra week in veg. I don’t know yet for sure. It’s my first run like this so I’m kind of making it up as I go. But I have 2 more seed packs ready to go after these. Malibu Pie and obiwan og from ocean grown.

Shit yeah! I heard the Malibu Pie is the real deal. Think I'll have to try out some of the Ocean Grown gear if your grow turns out amazing. I'm still working on Greenpoint Seeds' The Deputy and Purple Mountain Majesty.

That’s my Malibu 4 weeks in now. I had a lot of bad luck with my first pack. Got another now. So I’m gonna run another 12 seeds after the Obi-wan og run.

Got some awesome bird seed in the mail today.

Day 13 Got their first nutes yesterday. 185ppm farmers pride from blue planet nutes. Just the base, cal mag, and seaweed. And they really liked it. Shot up overnight a good inch or so. Looking at them I think I have 3 males, 3 females, and 2 undecided. At least from growth so far. But lookin good!

So Beyond Dreams getting big. They’re in the veg tent now. Moved them 2 days ago. 18/6 under 2x mars300s for now. That’ll be a 315cmh on Wednesday I believe. 2 definite males. And a good looking batch for females. Should go 50% at least. They’ve all been topped but 1 and that’ll happen tomorrow I’d guess. 1 node behind for that 1. But overall looking great.

Waiting on seeds to turn up for my first grow, will follow and learn with you, keen to see what you end up with.
