I'm J. and yes that paranoia, so J. it is. Have been growing on and off since 1993, usually just a couple of plants on the balcony or in the garden. About 5 years ago I built a closet of roughly 3 by 4, and had some rather failed growing attempts with a 400watt bulb - my first indoor attempts. Concluding I did not have the green fingers I threw in the towel. Looking back I just invested too little time and money, so the environment wasn't optimal or even close to it.

Last summer I had some pretty decent smokeable weed from my own balcony plants again so I figured I give it another shot indoors this winter. About a week to go to an estimated 12-ounce harvest. 5 plants in 6 gallon buckets with soil, scrogged in halfpipe, bio nutes only. No ph en ec measurements. All for personal (includes wife) stash so I won't have to risk buying crap from the coffee shops here again.

Although it's going pretty well this round, especially compared to previous attempts, but way too boring, so I'm switching to hydroponics. After some stoned-research I decided to go for a sort of Aeroflo clone (which I realized later) based on some older examples here as well. It seems most/many go for DWC or HPAA nowadays, but this looked like a fun setup to build and maintain.

I'm from the Netherlands where hydroponics is not very popular or just not well-known amongst pot growers and this seems to be the place for hp info anyway. I work with Americans all day every day so no problem finding info in English but getting the right parts together is a major pain. Besides the differences in measurement units and piping standards etc there is only one grow shop here that focuses on hydroponics and has rip-off prices, so I've been ordering parts from across the planet. Even had to ship some net cups...
