Best way of growing for Mother Plant

Im using the aerogarden to put clones straight into flowering. I dont know if i should build a small hydro system for a mother plant or if i should just use soil. The only problem of soil for me would be the bugs and mites that the dirt would attract. Any suggestions would help!

Any system will work, I am at most 1 month probably more like 1 week from needing a setup for my first mother plant. I intend on building 2 aeroponic units. The one will be for the mother the other will be for the clones and the ebb / flow is for the growing.

As long as you place an air stone directly below the plant in the aeroponics then it's roots can grow right into the water with out root rot. Plants can sit in water it just needs to be aerated really well.

I would stay away from soil when working indoors but that is my choice due to being a clutz sometimes. I would rather spill water and soak it up than drop dirt everywhere and need to clean it, but to each their own. Weed loves soil or hydro and both work exceptionally well if you are familiar with the method. I will gladly help you learn the ropes of hydroponics quickly so you don't kill your plants, if you go soil there are TONS of experts here.

hey, yeah man that would be awesome if you could help me out. I am currently growing in an aerogarden which i will later on use for clones. My plants getting pretty big. I just need a hydro system that would fit one plant. Here are some pics of my plant now

The plant is looking very nice! Have you settled on a method of hydroponics? I don't want to push you towards one or another in particular. If you want to keep it as cheap as possible I would go with DWC, in other words get a rubbermaid container, cut a hole for your plants pot in the top, put a couple air stones in the container underneath, hook up an air pump, add some PH'd water, nutrients according to your plants needs and turn on the air pump.

A couple important things here is make sure to get a container that light won't get to the water, or just cover the container in something so light doesn't get in. Next important thing is make sure you have an easy way to add / remove / test your water. I am going to cut another little hole in the top of mine that I can cover when not in use for this reason. Another big thing with this sort of system is your water can't get too hot! Cheap way to keep the temperature down is toss in frozen water bottles, if you got coin you can get an aquarium chiller. I just use ice, I believe optimal temperature of a hydro res is around 68F
