Im using white widow and follow someone else using same strain.. very forgiving, should be a good yielder and is easy to grow.. go with whatever you like.. some strains are more forgiving than others so id keep it with some "basic" strain to start with from a good seed bank down the road once youve got the experience well there 1000's of different type of strains mixed together.. research, look at reviews from others, etc.. any seeds will grow weed.. but getting good genetics is very important

This is pretty much it. I tend to choose a strain for pain management so a hard hitting Indica dominant is what I prefer. If you want something creative and uplifting(?), then a hard thumper like that wouldn't be my choice. So...it depends.

This and whatever you have enough room for..... I learned early on that sativa dom plants that stretch forever are a poor choice for a cabinet grow lol.

It's subjective and all comes down to personal preference.
OP, the odds of you getting a GSC that is from the same breeder, and then a similar Pheno to what Axle had is very slim.
If you had a much more specific question we may be able to offer better strain suggestions. I'd just suggest going to places where you know you can purchase seeds and seeing what they have. Then researching that strain/breeder and see if it's something you might be interested in trying.
Many a times I've come across a strain I thought would be really nice, then through searching found it was highly prone to hermy, or had an insane pheno variation, or something else I really did not want to deal with.

I liked the Nirvana wonder woman for my first few runs. It's nice and short heavy yielder forgiving and dank piney nugs that get you ripped.

I have a gorilla glue #4 that is near 6 months old, has only been topped once, its not even 2 feet tall.
Sour diesel the same age would be 7 feet tall now if i hadnt topped it , thrown the original away, and cloned the top into a smaller pot to keep it at bay.
