Best strains for chronic pain.

I'm interested in TGA genetics atm but I'm open to all suggestions. This pain needs to stop. I need something narcotic almost in pain relief. I need some help managing my pain now and I'm looking for the genetics to do so.

You are probably looking for something indica dominate. I grew out a WOS freebie, Afghan Kush Special, and she was a knock out, glue you to your chair/bed and take a nap type shit. I really wasn't expecting much seeing as I first started trying to grow WOS with no luck (beans didn't pop, could have been my error, but other beans did pop at the time). I regret not taking clones, she was one of the most request strains I had from others. Now it was only one bean and one expression, but I will certainly try some more beans at one point or another to try and find a special girl like that again. She had trichome webbing going on, and was done (20/80 clear/cloudy) in 9 weeks, and she didn't take to topping.

I also find great pain relief from crosses or straight chem. Have 5 strains going now with chem backgrounds, and if you get a cross with a leaning chem, it tends to have good pain relief properties.

ETA, I won't touch tga, but do Whatcha do, I'm not sure of what kinda indica pedigrees they carry.

Also good luck on your search/grow

Thanx Tonight You... Great handle btw. I want my name to be spaghetti :) Whats the issue with TGA if you don't mind me asking?

LOL yes, always loved ATHF.

I'll be as honest, and admit my biases on why I don't care for TGA.

From a smokers perspective, I haven't been all too impressed with TGA. I have a friend who basically grows TGA, and I've bought some at the markets (always sampling things, but would buy in bulk what I liked). TGA strains seem very similar in having the following properties:
1.) usually good tasting with some being very flavorful in smell and smoke (can't say I've had hay or nasty taste from TGA)
2.) low potency (the high doesn't seem to last long, not strong in what I look for), I've never smoked a TGA plant and really wanted to have it in my line up or bought on the regular.
3.) bag appeal seems hit or miss, but we all know bag appeal doesn't equate to potency necessarily.

From a growers perspective, I've seen enough TGA gardens in real life and following journals, just look here even, and I wouldn't really place any TGA in my garden because (unless it was some real special cut, but I don't bring cuts into my garden, fuck infestations):

1.) hermi problems. Okay so this could be grower error but damn, no one should ever say "Oh I just pick the bananas off at week x...). No, not dealing with that unless I was fucking with a pure land race sativa. I have no time or space for intersexing plants in my garden. Don't care how good it is, other hybrids don't have this problem.
2.) Extreme polyhybrid expressions from most lines. This could be good or bad depending on what you want. I want a strain that has a few different phenos, but the idea of having every female different from one another isn't in my opinion what a strain makes. It's a grab bag

From my experience a pure Indica works best but still will not kill most of my pain. It makes me kinda forget about my pain, it keeps my mind off of it. I've been smoking for over 45yrs (been in pain for 35yrs) and have yet to find any cannabis that is able to kill my nerve pain. I've tried high CBD strains, extremely high CBD strains, Sativas, Indicas, lots of Hybrids, and concentrates. Some edibles will help sometimes. I'm still searching for a strain or concentrate that will give me relief from severe pain. Indicas do seem to help relieve mild to semi- moderate pain. One problem I have found with using cannabis for pain relief is that I need to consume so much that I end up being very, very high all the time and that doesn't work for me. I'm still hoping to find some type of cannabis product that will stop this pain. Cannabis still helps me alot to just get through the day.

@BWG, I have nerve damage as well in my legs and back. When the Restless leg syndrome kicks in, its all I can do to not eat a bullet. It makes my legs jerk and flail as well as palsying up my arms and fingers. Its rough stuff. On top of that, my chronic pain lies. I quit going to the pain doc about 4 years ago and have been trying to find that magic strain. We dont have many concentrates here. And if you do see some, its low quality hash or BHO made in some kids kitchen. I can make my own edibles but We can never run across enough of med grade to do anything with it like concentrating. That really sucks tho. I'm only on year 6 of my pain, I couldnt imagine being without releif for 35 years. I drink PST on days where my pain requires opiate level because I dont want to take the pills anymore. Been off those guys for a long time now. SO thanx for the help guys. I appreciate you taking the time to reply to me.

Sorry to hear about that guys, I've got nerve pain in my legs as well. It's a bitch as you guys know.

ETA not sure if you've ever been scripted gabapentin, but my life would be so much worse without it. It's a generic, older drug with very few side effects. Does a great job quieting the pins and needles along with that shooting pain

I've found Gabapentin to be hit and miss, but I'd rather have it than not.

I'll also disagree w/ TonightYou, though that doesn't happen very often. I've run several TGA strains with mostly very good success: 3 great moms, several very good plants, never a hermie, and only 2 I'd call duds [ Space Bomb] because of puny yields.

I kept moms of Chernobyl, Ripped Bubba, and Timewreck - each over a year. While the Chernobyl is more trippy/less pain relief, both of the RB and Timewreck worked well for me. Still do. Made some brownies just last night w/ an 8th of Ripped Bubba. Cut the pan into 9, ate 2, and was....well....ripped, bubba....for the last 3 hours of the night before crashing.

I respect your opinion Amos Otis, and I certainly don't have the experience you have with TGA. I do admit my bias, from observation, and experience smoking on TGA strains.

Gabapentin is a hit and miss, but out of all my medications, it's one I honestly couldn't go without. That nerve pain is worse than the muscle spasms and myofacial (spelling in question) pain. Those pins and needles and electrical feeling going down the leg is a nightmare. I just drop it as an option for others in case they haven't tried it. Some doctors may guide one to Lyrica, but it has more severe side effects, isn't generic, and is basically a slightly different chemical composition from gabapentin.

ETA, I'm sure if you say ya got some good ones, I'd gladly smoke down with ya.

I'm in the Gabapentin boat with the you two (shattered my neck in 2002) and I have to say that I can not live without it.

As for TGA, I agree with Amos.
I've popped 25 of their seeds over the last 18 months and had great results with them (Ripped Bubba and Timewreck).

As for the original posters question, if he's still looking at TGA's seeds, I think Pennywise, SpaceDawg, and Qrazy Train, would work best for your pain.

yeah pennywise in my expierence is great for pain releif i got severe arthritis in my lower back and my girl broke her neck c2 she was real lucky but the penny is the way to go i think

2 popular CBD strain choices

- Harlequin strain (clone only)

- Cannatonic from Resin seeds recorded the highest CBD at a cannabis cup.
