Best Soilless Mix

Im going to be using a DWC to grow my babies, out of 6" net pots...

My question is what would be the best medium to grow in...

I would prefer to use straight perlite or expanded clay the whole way through, but I am aware of some other mixes like:

Roots Organic Soilless Cocofiber

Premier ProMix BX Professional

FoxFarm's LIGHT WARRIOR Agro-ponic Grow Medium

what do you guys think?

lava rocks are my fav, i use the clay pellets now.

Don't like the dust or the fear of slipping on the those clay pellets

Have read that the clay is easier on the roots b/c it is a smooth surface.

I am not familiar with the others you posted, I do know that organics in hydro can be problematic

Straight grodan, no clay needed, just cover the top of the netpot where the stalk comes out. Clay pebbles wreaks havoc on the res, with dust and residue coming off the pebbles all the time. Just a big ass mess. Get a grodan cube the size of the netpot, don't look back.

I used coco fiber the first time around. it was easy to work with.
easy to plant my sprout into.

The second time I used LECA
I had to use rapid rooters plugs for sprouting, and seedlings. then
in the LECA.

I plan on using Air the next time I grow as the medium
thinking about just making some neoprene pucks.

I like LECA by Horton
