Coco isn't technically soil, it's soil-less, but a block that fills six or so 5-gallon buckets is only 11bucks from General Hydroponics.
Coco doesn't have any nutrients, so you have to provide your own with your strict feeding schedule.
For nutrients,
My first time, was with General Hydroponics.
When it's my friends first time,
I make things super simple.
Oneness (For veg)+(For first half of flowering)
Ginormous (For first half of flowering) + (Second half of flowering)
If I could only draw a graph, but pretty much the simpler I make things for my friends the better. I now don't discuss topping techniques with them or I'll come over one day and it will turn out they haven't stopped topping since the last time i was over.
But yeah. I start seedling on 1 ml of Oneness, 2ml the next week, then 3ml, etc depending on how long you veg
switch lights to bloom
3ml oneness + 3ml Ginormous
2:4 O:G
1:5 O:G
0:6 O:G
0:7 O:G
0:7 O:G
0:10 O:G
Flush and done
Just a rough estimate, per gallon,
11.00 - For a Bale of cocotek for six 5-gallon buckets
13.00 - for 16oz Oneness
16.00 - for 16oz Ginormous
There could be a slight calcium deficiency... so you should have to add a cal-mag booster like Equilibrium
or, I just expand my coco with a light PH balanced Equilibrium solution to infuse some calcium into that medium.
But there are claims that Oneness can be used as a complete standalone nutrient. I assume those that did, had to lock out nitrogen by changing the ph levels**
I swear I don't advertise for these guys, but they should ****** pay me or send me my ***** nutes on backorder this week or something.... I digress
These are my three favorite container mediums:
1. Coco-mixed cuts & layered but straight coco
2. Perlite-mixed sizes as well but Hempy Bucket
3. Coco
