Best possible grow light under 100euros & that doesn't come from the US?

Hello!
I started to clear things out in another thread but I'd like some more input before actually buying it and building my cabinet.

For now, the main things I'm aware off are:
  • Leds are supposed to be more efficient than HPS
  • Cheap leds may not last me a while
  • amazon growlight usually run at less than half of the advertised power
  • If I choose to go with an amazon light I would have to settle on at least 300 advertised watts
  • I would need around 100 true watts for one plant
Now, knowing that I absolutely can't go over 100euros, and don't want to order from the US due to the OBSCENE import fees on electronics, what would you recomment me?

I'm not sure I want to fuck with homemade lights. That's too much of a electricity/fire hazard for me.
I just want at least one ounce of average to nice buds from one plant
(being able to grow two under the same 100euros would be an appreciated bonus!)
Except if I can stay under the 100euro budget overall, I'd prefer not to have to swap it for flowering...
thanks for any feedback!

Like harware store cfls?
what kind of wattage? Is there someting specific I should consider expect the "K" light temperature?
Will it get me better yield and better bud density than a 300watt grow led?

Well you can go with one of those 300w led's. They only put out 120watt of light though. Since you not expecting much they would be perfect for you.

Well I don't need much quantity and don't plan on having more than one auto in a small diy cabinet (2x2x4),
but I'm not looking forward to airy buds either.
I want to go with whatever is gonna give me the best results with my cheap ass budget
but 120watts sounds like it's in the right ballpark for 1 plant from what I've heard.

What do you think would be best between cfls and one of those leds?
I heard good things about mixing both too.
I'm all about choosing the most viable of all the shitty options I can afford :bigjoint:

Neat idea!
Any expericence growing with this kind of setup?
Will it get me through flower with dense enough buds in the end?
I grow my seedling under two 20watts floodlights, do you think buying like 4 more would do the trick?
the best quality/price ratio is what I'm after!

I came across this kind of cfl too.
maybe this would be better for one plant?
I'd buy the veg and swap it out but I'm not sure if it's really needed.
I use 2 20watts floodlights for my 13days old seedling and I think it's doing great!
Do you think I can get away with only the flowering light?

Do you have these ~9W Led Bulbs available anywhere?

You want to remove the white round cover (which doesn't help tbh), to reveal a round board with a bunch of white LEDS attached.

I've seen them all across america, so i'd guess you can find them in Europe. They're usually rated 80 CRI plus, can be found in a color between 2700k-6500k, last for a fuck ton of time, and utilize white "broad spectrum" leds. They don't degrade nearly as fast as CFL lights and will provide much higher quality light and results... CFL's can grow, but you'd better look somewhere else

if you go that route you'd need about 40W per square feet or about 400W per square meter. But you're guaranteed at least 1 gram per W if you know how to grow

The first design (left to right), under Energy... This is the one i've found to be most useful.

Yeah those are readily available in all hardware stores!
If it works as good as you claim, this may be my best option yet.
as I want to build a 2 by 2 grow box, I will need minimum 15 of those.
any idea how to wire them? I'm not even sure it will fit in such a tiny space lmao
But if it works, it sounds really really good! I can buy in bulk and save a ton.

Then get bigger ones, you can get them at 18w in assorted Kelvin ranges, but you still lose at least 3 inches of headroom by the time you include the lampholder, so include the pot and there's over half your height gone. Can't you add at least another foot in height, could make a real difference.

PS, that's unless I've confused myself into thinking you're making a 2 foot high box when you're not.

yeah I explained myself poorly, sorry about that!

2x2 is only the footprint. It's going to be 4 to 5 foot tall.
But it's not as bad as I thought.
In fact, I already ordered everything to build it!

I'm gonna build two 3x3 hoods. and the bulbs I picked are 11Watts with samsung chips (I heard they were good)
I'll have a little extra as I saved a ton of money buying big packs but essentially, I can pick from 6 "5000k 11w" and 15 "3000k 11w"
Just so I can mix and match them for vegging or flowering purposes.
So that's essentially two 99w led fixtures for a 2x2 maybe 2x3 footprint and approx 4 to 5' tall depending on what won't look out of place in the room (stealth factor).
Based on what everyone told me, I should be set to grow nice dense buds that wouldn't be too airy!
I had given up on being able to grow 2 plants on my budget, but it seems like it's possible now

That changes things, Christ knows why I had it in my head that you were talking 2 feet in height.

Make sure you can raise and lower either your light rig or your plants, get the maximum out of them. In practice, you could run the 3000K from the start, but I reckon the first 2 weeks under the 5000K should keep them squat at the start. I'll fire off a seed under a single 14w 6500K led replacement and it'll easily grow something a foot wide and under 6 inches tall in that time.

This is what my €35 light has under it, this is one of the biggest lumps, with a standard cola can. You should be more efficient than me, I think.

Yeah I'll make sure to put them as close as possible without getting light burn or heat stress.
I'm working with limited space, so I figured limiting their height with light temperature and lst-ing are pretty important things.

And nice one! I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures of my grow when I'll be done with my finals
