Best LED's in different price brackets?

I was wondering if there's a guide or thread or something, which is updated somewhat often, maybe once a month, or every few months, or even once a year. With a top10 list of LED lights, perhaps with the best LED's in different price ranges?

Cheers

No, there is a not a thread like that. The only thread remotely close to that is: LED Companies w/Links
However the linked thread does not give price ranges. Finding a suitable LED array within a specific price range is left up to the competent forum users.

So us non competent forum users are fucked.. I find the whole LED market weird. With headphones you'll have 100s of top10 lists, reviews, measurements, etc.. And you'll easily be able to find an average between them all, and select a proper headphone for you. But for LEDS it's one confusing clusterfuck.

All have you do is: continue educating yourself and look at the products offered by various companies.

There is a forum search function available to the competent or incompetent forum users, for the sake of personal research.

Headphones are almost the opposite to grow lights in "ease of review". You could review/test 10 headphones side by side in a day with minimal "external variables".

Quick note about searching for lists like this. I've come across plenty of web pages with titles like "Top 15 LED Grow Lights for 2016" and they are just littered with what I would consider low tiered lights. Someone is probably paying to put those lists out there.

And here at RIU, if you ask the same question, everyone is going to have a different Top 10 listing. Here's my Top 5, all of which I would consider in the mid-high price bracket, in no particular order:

Apache Tech
NextLight
Fluence Bioengineering
Pacific Light Concepts
Heliospectra

I have my reasons for choosing these, as I'm sure other folks have different reasons for whatever their top picks are. Peace

Yeah, that was the part I was hoping on skipping. Guess I'll just have to listen in on some threads in this part of the forum.

That's not the first time I heard good stuff about Nextlight. I was looking at the Nextlight Mini, even as one of their smallest LED's it's still way too expensive for me. Some day perhaps.

If you're on a budget but have plenty of free time and want to learn about lighting, DIY is the only way to go. Its not even close.

welcome to emerging markets 101

The key is research like a mofo. I now only thimk of cobs where leds are concerned. They seem to be the future add where your bang for the buck is. Hell researching is half the fun. I agree a catch all kind of review would be great, determining your budget would be a good way to help narrow your research. Your journey to knowledge begins with a search engine. lol
