Best LED on the market?

It's been awhile. I've grown old and the technology has advanced by light years in the near decade it has been since I have grown anything indoors. Back then there weren't any LED's worth getting. I suspect that has changed by now.

I'm reading the other threads, of course, but if you could pick any one LED on the market today, what would it be? The price doesn't matter. I just want whatever is most effective/efficient. The biggest baddest LED boy on the block. There are so many knockoffs and pieces of junk out there I just don't know where to even begin.

Thanks, in advance.

There are many ways to achieve super efficiency. But to give a simple answer.

Horticultural lighting groups Quantum boards.

or

ChilLED

A couple of years ago it was all about DIY COB lights. :bigjoint:
Its a good time for LEDs at the moment but you never know what's around the corner.

You cant go wrong with a light from any of the following, plug and play,
Timber lights (cobs)
Horticulture Lighting Group(QBs)
Chilled Tech (best and most expensive on the market, I believe)
Cobshop.net(autocob)

Cant go wrong with any of these. Everything and everyone else usually don't tell you the bin number of leds etc, etc, don't do business with them *cough* kind, spectrum king, mars, etc.

I'm still waiting to see some grow reports on the new ChilLED lights. I'd love to see a full grow journal under them.

Yeah I know. I would love to see it all documented on here. Especially now YouTube is removing all the grow bloggers.
I just remember when mau5 went over to see the dude and went through all the stats before he got involved with the company himself.
They should perform really good and some of their air cooled fixtures looked promising.
For me I still prefer the QBs and I believe they win on performance and price, but I do like to at least pretend im not a fan boy.. :bigjoint:

Also worth throwing in cutters.au solstrips if that's what they are called. I know they know their stuff, just not sure where they are at with it. Last I saw they were looking good.

If price isn't an issue, call these guys and talk to the owner about this light

Call all the companies and talk to them, get a good feel for who actually knows what and who is just blowing Grow Bro smoke before dropping your coin!

Samsung F-Series or Bridgelux EB gen 2 strips of you're into DIY
Other than that I would say fluence lighting is probably the most successful that I've seen out.

My opinion on what's best are those that I've personally had the best results with, or what I've seen produce great in real life and not just what a bunch of dudes on the web jumping from one fad to the next keep hyping up.

My Short List of Lights I'd Invest in:
NextLight
ApacheTech
Pacific Light Concepts
Fluence

from this answer....
aren't you one of the dudes on the web jumping from one fad to the next keep hyping up?

I mean, what is wrong with trying different technologies, brands, layouts?

Is your opinion better than a dude growing with HLG or Chillled products and reccomending them?

Can you point us to some Chilled grows aside from the one that Vader did where he was clearly underwhelmed with the coverage footprint?

It's funny with all this "efficiency" bs, I'd like to see a side by side between an AT600 and any of these newer model lights :hump:
