I'm a bit new to SS, only on my third grow with it and still fine tuning it. well fine tuning my grow in general, but my last grow was a .7g/watt grow. This round should be even better.

12/12 from seed, using LEDs starting at 200watts peak at 600watts for the last month, 12 zips. That was my first run in the tent(3x3),so just over .5gpw , but considering I didnt veg and that I was using the full 600watts for about 1/3 of the grow, I am very happy with 12zips. I am just wondering if the 1 gpw using SS is for professional or simply unachievable, I am sure the mainliners are getting close to it!!

no, clones dont yield any better. the reason you can obtain a higher gram per watt with clones is the unifrom fat growth...i have a sick pheno in my tent that is swollen, thick as hell, and frosty as shit...i have a couple that are lanky...so if all of them were the fat stinky thick one, i would be crushing this and pulling 18-20oz from a 3x3 tent

I hate LEDs, they are so horribly inefficient. Lets hear some results with 1000 watters and what strains???

inefficient? have you tried them? (I mean recently, not 2 years ago or even last year, did you get ripped off buying some cheap Chinese light on ebay? I sure hope you tried them anyway to say that they are inefficient) I am growing some of the best pot I have ever smoked, big buds too!! Also unless you were to do a crazy ass vertical setup with HPS, LEDs have proven to give better gram per watt ratio (with experienced growers). Not sure why you hate them so much, in the future you will have to give up your HPS, soon or later, it might not be for an LED light but something else anyway.
Some 1000watters results would be great too!! But yeah let's not start a debate LEDs VS HPS because it will get ugly!! haha

I am a hobbyist, I don't have much experience and I grow 12/12 from seed, no veg time, very low power consumption, yet I get some pretty nice nuggies. HPS beat LED's all day everyone knows that.. HPS with LEDS as supplemental lighting give good results but nothing beats a HPS at least for now. None the less people grow awesome buds with LEDS
