Best fan for 4" to 6" outlet exhaust

What would be the best fan to use with a DIY carbon filter. Price is a concern, somewhere around 50cfm to 300cfm max.

I want it so i could connect the filter to the fan and then it blows out. i looked at squirrel cage fans but that doesn't look like a good connect.

-thanks

ohh yeah thatll work great.

know if they can be bought in stores??
I bought one of those from HTG after looking all over at Home Depot and Lowes. Then I found the same fan at Home Depot for $27.00. Some Home Depots stock them and some don't. We have about six or eight Home Depot stores in this metro area. I learned a lesson that I need to look at several of them to find stuff.

i bought my can fan from the hydro store for 200. 270 cfm. its is very quiet but it was also 200 dollars. i saw inline fans at HD the other day too. but are they quiet? thats my main concern, cant have my grow area sounding like a 747 goin off.

The Suncourt 6" 250 cfm is very quiet but it is minimal as far as air movement. I also have a 6" Can 440 cfm that I have not installed yet. I did plug it in to hear it and I think it is going to be loud. I'll probably have to wrap it in insulation. It moves the air though.

nice. i run my can fan on my 2 600s and a carbon filter at the end b4 the lights. half the carbon filter is in the room and half is out of the area. so its pulls enough air out of the room but i also have the a/c ducted into the room keepin to cool.

Sounds good. I haven't even started my garden yet, just getting tooled up. I plan to vent my enclosed 600 with the 440 after the plants show some growth. I hope that venting 440 cfm into my attic will take care of the odor without any carbon filter. I might be wrong. Plan to start with 10 plants and hope for five or six girls. Bagseeds this time.

do you have your own residence or do you live in an apartment? u shouldnt have to worry about the smell but hey man, why not take 35 bucks and go to HD or lowes and buy the shit to make a carbon filter. its super easy. thats what i did and it works good enough to not have any smell coming out of the attic. of course when i go in my grow area it feels like gettin whacked in the face with a fresh cola. its pretty good security for 35 bucks. and that 400 cfm fan is ganna move ALOT of air through that one light. i ahve my 270 cfm fan hooked up like this. filter-duct-light-duct-light-duct-fan-duct to the attic and it runs perfectly. i do wish it was like 300 or 330 cfm but it works perfectly as is.
