best and quickest way to germinate?

any ideas? i have a cup with a paper towel damped on the bottom than the seeds on that than another damped one on top of it than in the closet way up at the top so NO light touches it.. been like 3 or 4 days and nothing..
 
just place the seed in a shot glass full of water. put the shot glass in a very dark place and cover with a larger cup. check on it in a couple days. good luck.
 
use a spray bottle to moisten up the papertowel. take papertowel and put in ziploc bag, squeeze air out. take that and put it in a dvd case or something dark. put that in a warm place..... works everytime...
 
Just put it in the soil right away so you dont harm the tap root when you put it in the soil. Yeah sometimes they don't sprout but if they do they wont be stressed. Just remember the less transplants you do the more your plant will love you.:-P
 
ok well im doing multiple seeds from a bag not sure if they will work or not thats y im doing multiple is either way ok with germinating a few at a time.. im doing about 5 seeds
 
you can germinate a thousand seeds. doesnt matter. all you need to do is keep them moist, warm, and dark. and they should pop for you. if you have them in this condition and they dont pop in a week at the longest then you got some bad seeds. you wanted them to be dark healthy in the begining not white and flaky.
 
put them on a weet paper towel, fold it over and place in a baggy. dont close the bag. i like oxygen to get to them. idk if it helps, but i do it.. lol. then put them in your dresser, or somewhere dark and warm.
 
Just like most everyone has said said so far, put them in a moist, warm, dark place. I had my seeds in a moist, dark place but the temps were in the 70's. Several days pasted with no sign of a taproot. I moved them out into the garage in 90+ temps and they cracked before the end of the day. I used a damp paper tower and placed it between 2 plates. Go get some translucent beer cups and a bag of MG starter soil. Find both at any big box store. Poke a hole in the bottom of the cup fill with soil, water let drain for 10 min, poke hole in soil about 1/2 inch, drop seed in cover lightly sit back and wait. Water as needed (only water) and after they pop you can see the root development through the sides of the cup. I transplant after they are root bound and than feed.

I do exactly this.. except I put them in the cupboard over the refrigerator.. always a little warm.. or I turn the light on that's in the vent hood of the stove and put them in the cupboard above it... I have burnt out a few bulbs doing that ;) but it works well for me.. usually will crack and be planted within a few days... quickest I've had crack is 4 hours (strawberry cough this grow) and longest was first grow (weird how that worked out.. same method too) 10 days with northern lights.

Different methods work for different people.. I had no luck with the shot glass method at all.. not one cracked for me. 100% with paper towel though. (not that I have done all that many.. I have a few different strains going now, and I take clones, so no reason to have to do it all that often)
 
I never fart around with beans, i drop them in my float and grows or rapid rooters, pour warm water on them, i tear up one rapid rooter and use small chunks to cover the holes, set them under my t5 and within a few days I have sprouts.. I dont trust my hands being steady enough after they crack to handle them gently.. My germ rate has to be in the 90% rate.

this. This is the best and safest method. Just drop the seed in soil and moisten. These seed don't require anything special to germinate.
 
I drop mine into either distilled water or ro water and just let them sit in the cup until they pop a tap root and then put them into a peat pellet.
