Best air cooled hood for 1000w hps in a 5x5x7 tent

I upgraded my 600w to a 1000w hps this winter. I barrowed an old cool tube style hood i had for the new light but it has a small footprint and a bad hot spot in the middle. I would like to upgrade to a better air cooled hood that distributes the light better. I have been looking at the raptor 6" and the xxxl 6" is there any better options on the market? I would l8me to keep cost down but i know good hoods are not cheap. Whats everyone's opinion on the best bang for the buck in this instance?

Best bang for the buck, IMO...I run these right along Solis Teks and like these better. Very well built for the price! (and hey, they are all made in China!!

Thats a darn good price but that hood looks like it would have the same problems as the one i currently have that it is too deep and would direct the light down and not spread it out like a larger more shallow hood.

They do various wider hoods that are not as expensive as the raptor, they also do a cooltube/hood hybrid which offers the benefit of the less resistant tube but with a decent wide reflecting hood over the top.

I'll check that out. Im not against spending the cash on a sunsystems xxxl or something like that but if there is something out there cheaper but just as good i would rather go that way
