Hello everyone, ive got 2 Kushberry in veg right now growin up to be mothers. I started them from seed and one went into soil about 3 or 4 wks ago and the other 1 1/2 wks later.

My setup is a 600W lumatek ballast, 6" Vortex inline and a HiLux Gro MH bulb.Ive heard these bulbs have very short life span, jus from a random guy in the hydro shop, but so far so good... anyone ever used these before???

Im running the lights an fan 24/7.
I want to clone in a week or 2 and do a SOG, with a week or 2 of veg before flowering.

This is my first grow but have been researching for a while hopefully it pays off and i can get some helpful advice from you all aswell!!

I was very curious to know though is there any kind of trimming or prep you can give to mother plants to help w/ later cloning...?
i was thinking if removing some large fan leaves to let more light down below...? could this help me/hurt me?

Still trying to get some clones going, but the mothers are looking great. also mounted up a light mover an a carbon filter.co2 an flowering 2 come soon...

yes the mothers r in for flowering too, the smaller one is toped/fim with 3 main shoots.
im kinda worried though i hear theyre going to stretch alot they had about 9 and 10 wks veg. :neutral:

sir your cool tube is to far away from the tops!!! give a bigger box under the seedlings,and lover the cool tube man!
BTW. you also need a vent to move the plants alil'bit and make some wind! :peace:

yeah im working on the second fan its super hot thats why i have the light a little farther away, but i think your right those clones could be a little closer.

I like the strain; subscribed.

I would LST the mother or she will get out of hand. Just tie some cotton string 2' over the second node, and gently bend the tops down, securing it to iitself (to the lower part of the main stem). In a couple days it should look like this:

i had them under a T5 but im just curious to see what kinda yield ill get going straight into flowering

thanks green cross ill keep that in mind im curious though...
should i do this NOW... like, could it be bad doing it later in flowering, just curious i'd rather be safe than sorry. thanks.
my ceiling is like 8ft high though so im not sure this is necessary as long as i can get the clones closer to that light

Hey buddy. Had to sign up so I could see your pics. Very pro for a first grow. Couple of questions/comments for you:

What are your temps? Try to hang a thermometer at about the same height as the tops of the plants.

Where are you venting all that hot air? Since you have the carbon filter there shouldn't be much danger in blowing it right out a window, especially in the summer. That stream of hot air could easily be one of the portable A/C's that attach to a window. BTW have you considered getting one of those?

Get an oscillating fan for the grow area if you don't already have one and you'll be able to put the light a little closer. I'm gonna start germing those seeds this weekend for you and my bro. Good luck!

Thanks man, im not too sure on the temps its pretty hot like 86deg. max, lots of fresh air though, i only have swamp... but ill be gone soon enough... i cant wait to get up there!!! what strains BTW?
