hey new to the forum , this place is the best ever ! . so my issue is i planted my seed roughly 5 days ago and set my timer on 18/6 . my fan is always blowing a nice gentle breeze over the seedling , i made the biggest stoner mistake ever . ive over watered like 2 times in 1 day . im new to this i know and im trying to absorb as much as i can , no pun intented:P the seed sprouted 2 days ago but never opened up yet , the seed i have is from a blueberry kush strain . its a darkish lightish green but not dying by any means , so after realizing that im watering this lil mo fo wayy to much i pulled the pellet up slightly and put more new soil down and tried to get most of the sogged jiffy pellett away from it then lightly packed the soil back in , now the seedling is starting to straighten up and open a lil :) any input would be greatly appreaciated :bigjoint: ill try to get pics asap

the lightish green could be nitrogen defficeny or new growth(upload pics) via here, or photobucket with your phone(text message). what soil, and your sappose to just keep the seedling moist btw.

well it appears my seedling is doing fine , there was some sort of film left from the seed casing itself wrapped half way around the seedling , i grabbed my tweesers and lightly pulled it off and the petals opened up instantly , im happy to say everything it okay now , so im just going to water lightly every 2 days , 200ml then im gonna put it through a wet/dry spell . ive read up and it seems that the dry spells open the roots more to let moisture in . therefore substantly boosting vegatation

Don't worry about the amount of water as much as the frequency of watering.
Don't get in that habit, because when she (we will hope it's a 'she') gets bigger, you don't want to just wet the top of the soil, you want to water until you get runoff, which will change with time.

So funny to read about someone getting scared over a seedling. I have so many seeds, I could give two shits about a seedling if it dies.

Not everyone is you. Most first time grower just buy a couple of seeds, they do not jump straight in and blow $250 on seeds, they just buy a couple to start off with and then progress from there.

managed to snap a half decent pic

not bragging, but i've got one of the biggest seed collections i know of, and i still get pissed when i kill seedlings..

to the op, you really shouldn't need to water more than once a day for a seedling, depending on how big the container it's in is.. just water it until you see some water running out of the bottom of the pot..
after you water, pick up the container to get a good feel for the weight.. every day pick it up and feel the weight again, once it feels rather light, it will need watering again... you should also be able to tell just by looking at the soil if she's thirsty or not, but that may take a bit of time to get down.. the weight thing is pretty easy to learn and a good method imo..

First time growers shouldn't be trying to produce a crop that costs them 10 bucks per seed.

You can get a pack of seeds with dozens of seeds in it for under a buck at walmart, start there if you are really interested in learning. Or you can buy 2 cannabis seeds and get your wallet raped, and then walk around scared its gonna die for a month, which it probably will.

I think most are just interested in virtually free weed, hence why no one does shit for research and the boards are FLOODED with repeaters everyday, all day. Learning how to grow isn't part of their plan, they just want to be told what to do.

With seedlings, I dont water the whole pot, just the root zone. Otherwise it takes forever to dry out, and they dont do so well when they are constantly wet.

That an be argued both ways can it not? If you water the whole pot, then there is water available for the roots for a long time. You're not aiting for it to dry out, you're waiting for the roots to grow and use the water that has been made available.
