Its been a long time since i even followed anything, now that i see they have these new LED things lol im thinking of doing a micro grow my space is 3x3x5. I basically want anyones opinion for me to really use this space correctly and for my best results. Im still trying to figure out if i want to grow soil or hydro i have grown both in the past, but i have never grown coco and im curious what is best. what is everyone doing now a days.
And what are you guys doing for nutes. im thinking a nice LED some cfls, bought grow box from amazon for about that size i have available, great ventilation and good air flow. my area is usually 75 F at all times.

TELL ME WHAT TO DO. I have Og Kush Fem seeds some White Berry Fem And AK97 waiting.

I'm starting with CFL about 175 actual watts for veg. Bean just came through so I'll run with this and I'll add more light in a couple weeks .. I'm thinking going LED for flower and keeping some cfl with 5500 bulbs ..
I'm using fox farm ocean with some organic soil mixed in with it a little bit.

Congrats on getting your beans, they sound good!! I run basicly the same type of soil base. I like it bc I can get it anytime local and amend it myself. There are other great soils, but it has worked for me PLUS NO SHIPPING LOL.
I'm kinda like you and getting bk into things, so I'm taking the K.I.S.S. method, so I'm gonna try the Lucas formula with soil. Seems soooo simple

I'm just going feed her some sensi grow a - B and B-52 then bloom with big bud and see what happens also some calmag on hand .. I'm going try to add as much light as I can before it gets too hot .. after this run I'll step it up a notch

I'm still in the "dark ages" and using my 600w lumatek digi ballasts. They still work, so I use them. I hate buying new stuff, just to have new stuff as long as it works fine. Led/cob type lights intrigue me because of the wattage savings tho!!

I want to do something simple to start up right now. I don't feel like buying thousand dollar lights I only have a small area

Hey guys
Lucas formula works really well, but I would recommend you to use something like promix only with it, not ammended with extra organic shit, or mix your own peat/perlite mix etc. This works best with Micro1:2Bloom to treat it as hydro style in a loose quick draining mix feeding at pH 5.9-6.3 max.

Using hydro or coco nutes work fine in soil ??

When I said amend I just meant with some FF light warrior and chunky perlite. That's all I plan on adding to the soil. I bought the GH Flora Nova 1 part nutrient solution. And correct me if I'm wrong (totally possible) but isn't there a soil formula for the Lucas formula!?

If I am not mistaken GH Flora Nova is same or almost same as Lucas using 3part Micro Bloom bottles 1:2.
GH Flora Nova is good stuff.

@im4satori Bat signal (is this right man? don't wanna give these guys wrong info, you are nutrient ratio king.)

Yeah you're exactly right. Flora Nova is just their 1 part series. I'm trying to be simple and cost efficient with nutes. Sooo were you saying NOT to use the Lucas style in straight soil?? If so why not?? I'm just asking
