Help!!!

I went to the hydro store today and after making the 70 mi. journey I was disappointed that they did not have the things I went to get.
Yes, I will try the phone the next time!
I have been using botanicare pro but was lacking some of the recommended ingredients to round out the nutrient profile for my plants.
Superstoner1 had passed on his mix of botanicare ingredients and I was going to put his recipe to the test. Well it was my first trip to this store and was chest fallen that I was going to go home empty handed. I hate to order to much grow gear over the net for fear of triggering some kind of of alert, so I thought the 140 mile round trip would be worth the time and mileage

Then SHE (the owner) came from behind the counter to assist and it was love/lust at first sight. She could have recommended that I buy her used feminine hygiene pads to use in my flood & drain system and I would appear at her door step with my wallet open at every lunar cycle.

Well I returned home with FloraNova Bloom One-Part Nutrient for both veg. and flower and plans to do away with my botanicare till some future grow.

Did I do the right thing or am I just a sick & weak love struck penniless fool???
What if anything do I need (in the way of advice) to have sucess with FloraNova nutes?

At first glance I thought you wrote "penileless" in which case the answer would be yes, a penileless fool. LOL

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with Nova bloom. She probably saved you some bucks.

Great and you come along an aim a kick to the nuts.

Yea I guess but change takes some getting use to. So I can use Nova bloom and feel fairly confident in what I am doing?

Sure. It's more or less the LUCAS formula with fulvic acid. It is thick so requires a lot of shaking to mix it up properly. Pretty much good reviews all in all.

Hey thanks for the reply

I have had problems with my other plants and am looking for a change. I have come across the reference to the Lucas formula in reading these fourms.

Thanks for the help.

I have a plant I would guess is about a week from being put into flower, it is in a rockwool block and being hand fed. I will begin using some clearex to flush and then start using the Nova nutes. in a few days. When the roots are a little longer I will try my first grow in my home built flood and drain.

How I arrived at the statement "Nova is Lucas"

LUCAS

Micro: 8ml/gal NPK 5-0-1 x 8 = 40-0-8
bloom 16ml/gal NPK 0-5-4 x 16 = 0-80-64

added it all together = 40-80-72 or roughly 1-2-2

NOVA = 4-8-7 or roughly 1-2-2

10ml nova (40-80-70) = 24ml grow/bloom. (40-80-72)

PRICE: 1gal micro 1gal bloom = 65$ = .0085$/ml 1 dose a gallon = .197c/gal

NOVA 1gal = $90 = .023c/ml 1 gal dose = .23c/gal

So maybe a 3 cent difference per gallon cheaper with flora vs Nova . BUT Nova has Fulvics and is more chelated. if U like that.

Patlpp,

Thanks for the insight, I am new at this and I go it alone. So you, Dalek Supreme, superstorner1, and all who visit here are who I must turn to to make this a simple and pleasurable grow. I get tired of stressing over what I am going to do wrong next.

Say, I have a few of these in soil in pots do you use this in soil and do you like it?
