BEAUTIFUL WAX with no vac and no ethanol/weatherization

Ever since I fell in love with concentrates I have loved using my mind and my hands to create something that makes people happy. I have read a lot of awesome stuff on this forum about weatherization, everyone is merging their oil with ethanol immediately.... I assume many of these people don't own vac purges so its the easiest way to assure themselves there is no chemicals in their concentrates so I get that and I'm not dogging it at all. I have messed around with it and come up with some great stuff myself, however.... I am a firm believer that if you can feel what your doing and understand whats happening... There is no ethanol nor is their a vac purge chamber required. These things make beautiful concentrate, but its quite possible to do just that with neither of these things. After using simple blast , wait at room temp and then scrape and vac purge method for a while my vac broke on me and i started cooking my wax very long, very low and very slow and in a double boiler type set up. What I have found is that when I combine a very high quality product, good butane, hq 50um micron poly and an understanding for what to do heat wise depending on the state of your wax... I can get just as good of quality product then I ever got by simply setting it and forgetting it in the vac.

I moved to a mountain town in Vermont from a city in Maine a year or so a go to ge away from a bad h problem. Quickly developed back a love for cannabis and its concentrate, as it is able to take an edge that i need to get through bad cravings and anxiety. I developed a relationship with an intuitive Vermont old timer who showed me how to blast and make BHO. While I provided the product and the vacuum chamber/butane/tubes ect, he gave the most valuable contribution anyone could give...knowledge. This is what I LOVE about concentrate production. Its not about how much money you have, its not about where your from or who you are or even how high quality your flower is. its about how much you can FEEL the process. How much you can understand the synthesis and the science behind whats happening to your product. Its art, and while i don't claim to be anywhere close to Picasso, i have come to understand that I had a great teacher and mentor throughout the process of going from flower smoker to concentrate producer.

MOst of you seasoned guys out there probably know exactly what im talking about so I wont waste everyone's time assuming that the reader doesn't already know how to do what IM saying. But if there is an interest in this process and anybody would like photos, videos and a step by step tutorial of my methods or pictures or vids of my finished products im happy to do so a pon request. Cheers, and thanks for all the great info on this site. I am loving the level of competency compared to other forums i read and look forward to meeting all of y you in this cannabis-infused online Utopia ;-)

Im a firm believer in empirical evidence. Send your extracts to be tested and i swear you wont feel right next time you do a run after seeing the results.

Heck put a flame to it and wait for the fireworks.

I did. I use Tested Labs In Falmouth Maine. 59 ppm butane, 84% THC not 590, 59 ppm buddy. ha.... so shuuuu, YOU know not what you speak of amigo.

I'd definitely like a look at your tek. I too do long, low heat and slow purges, no vac.
yeah man, ummmmm, i could post out my process if you want, maybe ill do a 123's of vac free bho thread.... Very very long story short... I don't use super huge tubes, its like one inch by 16 inches. I use 50 micron poly bee hive extraction filters. I use vector 14x filtered butane. I freeze each tube once its ready to go for 15 minutes. I blow 2 320 ml cans and half thru my large tube and another half a can thru my tiny half inch by 9 inch tube. i blow directly into a small, 7 inch wide crock-pot. its glossy ceramic and about 1 inch thick. I set that in a larger crock-pot, also i inch thick on high with about 2 inches of water. I put it on low at first while im purging the liquid, once it becomes a goo, ill set up up to high, eventually, about 4 hours later, you'll have to move to the stove to add a little but more heat. i never go over 140 degrees in my oil though. if it firm sup and you feel you need to raise the heat, just stir and stir and stir and stir. i use a paperclip to stir. every 10-20 min depending on where you are at in the process. once you can up the heat and there are NO bubble sat all , you have purged 99.9% of butane. The biggest mistake is people think they are done when they are not. Make sure that you can rain the heat on the stove to a good 5 or 6 and have it not bubble in any way..... then your done. it should take you from 6-15 hours depending on how low you keep it and how much patience you have. the lower the better, for obvious reasons.
