Beaumont Hospital no longer recognizes medical marijuana

Its actually pretty common ecspecially when heavy painkillers are involved. This is not something new they have been doing this for a while although not consistantly. They even do this in some of those shitty pain clinics down in Florida even those corrupt buisnesses won't give you pain killers if you drop dirty for them. It has to deal with deviating outside a doctors guidance with medicine, which in some cases is fair enough cause you shouldn't mix some things. On the other hand though pot has been put in that category by being in sched 1 so some big hospitals and companies are sticklers for clean pee to get your meds.

The supervisor says it's there new policy. She has been going there for years and taking the same meds for years. She wasn't individually targeted (I don't think). I am sure that this will create a bunch of shit. Hopefully we can watch it from a distance and have her a new doctor.

I really have to believe that this all boils down to money. The pharmaceutical industry is a VERY powerful voice in the medical industry, and in politics. There is a reason why a perfectly harmless plant like marijuana is still considered a schedule 1 drug in this country. Just follow the money!

It probably has less to do with the doctors concerns over what she's doing when she leaves the clinic, and more to do with some drug reps that have stopped in to their clinic and expressed their *concern* with patients finding other ways to alleviate their pain outside of the very profitable little pills that they peddle.

Many people have lost long time relationships with their doctors for even asking about having them signing the forms so you don't have to go to a mj recommendation clinic. My pain doctor makes me be a liar in signing the contract with them to receive heavy narcotic meds. If they found out I use I'd be done too.

It's a real shame, but playing the Devil's advocate, the drugs most of us receive to treat our illnesses are Schedule 1, and are very strictly monitored by the DEA. These doctors are protecting their careers, and I can see it both ways. The only solution is one that will never happen, and that is outright legialization.

The good news about the OP is that they are willing to work with her and let her take and pass tests and continue to have her as a patient. They could have easily blacklisted her as a drug seeking patient, and won't be able to be treated anywhere, which is the worst case scenario.

Did she tell them she had a mmj card if she did then she shouldn't have, because she's self medicating and doctors don't like that. They want to put her on marinol witch doesn't have cbd thats bad advice because you need cbd and thc to be effective.

Yes. She told them before it and her were legal. They said if it helps keep doing it. Honestly she can't afford to play the marinol game, cuz cold turkey off all her meds may kill her - honestly, and quiting smoking would be worse for her. lol

    How to make tincture oil[/h]
I am about to explain how to make a safe non toxic tincture oil. I do not condone the use of illegal drugs. If you are not qualified or permitted to use cannabis this post is not for you. First you will need two nonporous glass bowls, one pair of bleached and washed white nylons, a solvent(I do not use petroleum based solvents because of toxicity issues)one spoon,a fan, extra virgin olive oil and a glass bottle. We will be using a stove top cooking method for the final product.First thing is to place dry bud, leaves or clippings in a small nonporous bowl then add the solvent. The solvent I use is 91% isopropyl alcohol. Its important to have as pure of an alcohol as possible 50 or 70% will not work because you will end up with 50 or 30% water in the end.
    n

Allow the leaves to soak for about 10 to 15 minutes stirring and crushing the leaves helps break down the oils. Then wring out the liquid with your hand and discard the leaves. Repeat this process with a fresh batch of dry buds or leaves to make a concentrated solution.

Next step is to place the bowl in the nylon stocking and strain of the solution into a bigger nonporous glass bowl then stretch the next stocking over the large bowl and place in front of a fan the stocking will keep debris from contaminating the solution. By rotating and moving the bowl around you can spread the solution over a larger surface area to aid in the evaporation process.

After the evaporation you will end up with 9% water this is toxic water so do not include it in your tincture dump it out all cannabis oils will stick to the sides of the bowl. The remaining water can be removed by wicking out with a paper towel. Then simply take your finger or a spoon and collect the oils.

Next I will use a small 3.5 oz bottle and 6 grams of chilled cannabis oil then fill the bottle with extra virgin olive oil be sure to leave space for expansion. Bring a pan of water to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Then place the bottle of oil in the simmering pan.

What we are looking for now is a lava lamp action the oils will begin to rise to the top this could take 15 minutes or so do not increase the heat. When this happens pull the bottle out of the pan dry it off and shake it vigorously for about five minutes. Place it back in the pan of simmering water.watch for small bubbles rising to the surface.

After you see the small bubbles and a darker color its done DO NOT OVER COOK.This tincture can be strained through the nylon once more to eliminate any oils that do not infuse although potency may decrease a bit. This is very strong stuff and I do not recommend taking more than one teaspoon at a time. 3.5 oz = 21 teaspoons or 21 doses. Dont be the first guy to die from thc.

glycerin can be used for an external use tincture I use olive oil because your body can absorb it well and it can be used for cooking. Enjoy!

That's great I will print that in the morning. I just order a book for canna butter and tincture. up to 10x. Aunt somebodies cookbook, I heard it was great. I scrapped my grow due to battling mites for ever. I am a month or so from seed. We are buying meds now and she is going to take one of my 600s I think and do like six plants over-vegged a little to make up enough buds for simpson oil.

One teaspoonful should be enough to relieve the symptoms for a few hours. It takes about 45 minutes to work so don't take too many doses.

Thank you. I've been with her 13 years, the whole not smoking thing won't last a half hour. lmfao. She THOUGHT she had to quit once many years ago for some small probation bullshit, she thought she would have to quit for three days to get the shit to clean out your system. It was absolutely crazy how she reacted. She definitely loves marijuana more than she does me or anything else. I am all for marijuana, but the whole idea that it isn't addictive and it doesn't affect your memory is bullshit. Anyway, what were we talking about? oh. lol.
I guess people are just wired differently. Quitting cannabis has no effect on me whatsoever, I find green tea far more addictive.

I think the only option is finding a new doctor.
When marijuana became legal she was pulled over and the cop arrested her for possession even though she had her card. She was charged with operating under the influence. It was a very very big deal. She was on the news every time they went to court. She was in the newspapers. Several people picketed at the courthouse. She really got fucked. All kinds of people told her "FIGHT IT", well its been years, it's in the Michigan Supreme court and it has cost her thousands of dollars and a fucking nightmare. People say fight, WHEN IT ISNT THEM. People and organizations promised help with attorneys. HA! not a dime. Anyway my point is this. This poor woman has been raked through the fucking coals, hasn't done anything wrong. (on the traffic thing. She was driving 6 mph over the limit on a empty state highway in the UP. Wasn't stoned, wasn't burning one. Cop asked if she had any drugs in the car after running her name and she said she had her card and smoke and.... never tell a cop nothin. lol)
Yeah, it's hard to grasp just how scary and exhausting defending yourself from criminal charges can be until you've faced them yourself... I can't imagine dragging it out for years like that.

Yes. She told them before it and her were legal. They said if it helps keep doing it. Honestly she can't afford to play the marinol game, cuz cold turkey off all her meds may kill her - honestly, and quiting smoking would be worse for her. lol
Perhaps I'm missing something, but from what I know, all that would be involved is her asking for a prescription for Marinol, getting the slip, and continuing on as normal?

I said she can't afford to play that game, because they said they will drug test her, if she is positive or her CBD is too high, then she won't get her meds. Can't risk that. Play it safe and get a new doctor, and lie to him. NOW that it is legal for her, she must now lie to her doctor.
I think marijuana is addictive and I think it 'dumbs' me up and helps me forget. Without a doubt. I have smoked for a little over twenty years. I ran into some trouble with the feds up here and they just made me quit for FIVE years!! Sucked. lol. Within a month after quitting, my mind started to clear up and after a year, honestly it was amazing. I love marijuana, I used again, the very minute I was able too. It's benefits far out weigh anything I experience. In the last five months, my memory has pummeted again, but I am a very heavy user. Everything has a side effect. Marijuana effects people differently and it effects me in a good way. lol

Oh damn, guess they test for a whole slew of cannabinoids? That SUCKS. Time to find a new doc for sure then...

Also had to quit for 5 years, agree on the quality of the experience - sucked ass. And yeah it for sure affects memory... I feel like I'm on the verge of becoming the next Einstein when I quit for a significant period of time, everything gets so much easier and clearer... :O

That was the only good out of the experience. After three to six months it was incredible! To someone that never used, that must sound insane. lmao
