BC Company Soars on "Grow Your Own" Technology

(Surrey, BC) - With increasing public concern over illegal marijuana grow operations, from gang-related violence to fire safety, to rental homes ruined by mold and moisture - and the government of Canada failing to provide a qualified and safe alternative for medicinal users - one of BC’s fastest-growing companies has developed an innovative crime-free response. With over 3000 happy customers worldwide, BC Northern Lights is now the global leader in "Grow Your Own" technology.

Not Shy About Roots

BCNL's VP of Marketing Sean Karl states, “This is a true BC success story. We're a bunch of BC guys that know a thing or two about hydroponics. We started out by selling medical grade indoor gardens to the "High Times" crowd. We've had units financed by the Tainted Blood settlement and we've received R&D credits through the government of Canada. We employ 14 people on a full-time basis and though our core customer is still the personal cannabis grower, we've launched a brand-new product line aimed specifically at growing foodstuffs inside the home. Beyond that, we encourage a climate where everyone can grow their own and we hope that society sees the value in what we do."

With crime-based grow operations pumping out 50 - 200 pounds of BC bud each month, the company hopes to cash in on society's growing acceptance of medicinal and "personal" use. It's largest unit, The Producer, will yield about 2 pounds of the good stuff every 2 months in experienced hands.

"Criminals aren't interested in our products. For them it's business and they can get a whole lot more bang for their buck by tearing up a house. Our customers are typically older working folks and professionals who have chosen to grow their own. They want to take control of their own supply, take money out of the hands of criminals and have a whole lot of fun doing it safely."

"Aside from that, hydroponics is a hugely interesting area. People are growing tropical fruits, exotic peppers, fresh herbs, rare flowers and bonsai in our gardens. Given the trend toward condominium living, we think there is tremendous opportunity to expand our reach.”

Support. Security. Safety.

Along with top of the line products, BCNL stands out for providing custom feeding schedules, unlimited toll-free technical support and growing advice. It's user manuals include plenty of information on cloning, propagating and flowering plants hydroponically.

Karl continues, "We respect the laws of the land and we're grateful that Canadians have the freedom to hold open discussions about medicinal use of cannabis, but our laws don't apply around the world. We provide unlimited toll-free technical support 16 hours per day, 7 days a week and speak only about generic plants. If people need to get more specific information about cannabis growing in our gardens we provide a password-protected medicinal growing forum on our Canadian web domain."

In terms of safety and security, most home hydroponic kits wouldn’t pass a sniff test. Most indoor gardens today are crudely wired Home Depot tool sheds or Staples filing cabinets stuffed with grow lights and fans. On the other end is the spectacularly quaint Aerogarden, which sizzles, but doesn't provide much steak. In contrast, BCNL's Bloombox, Producer and Mothership are CAD designed and computer-controlled intelligent growing environments. They're manufactured from medical grade aluminum, come with commercial locks and regulate all levels of lighting watering, CO2 and air filtration. The units plug into a standard household socket and use less power than a refrigerator.
