Yeah discovered it and the UK equiv Robot wars last year, been slowly working my way through starting in the 90's.

Hundred percent unwatchable! ..you've got to record it then speed through it or you'll tear your freaking hair out trying to watch it, but the battles are awesome!
Am looking forward to seeing the US version AND the UK one back on the screen here, there's nothing as therapeutic as some wanton destruction.
Especially when someone pushes the envelope a little too far like a recent UK series and a spinning bar came loose with such force it went straight through the first layer of "ballistic" screening. Thankfully the second screen stopped it or it would have been nasty, and the look of horror on the face of the guy who built such a monster said everything, you could see he was almost going into shock at the thought of what could have happened.
Just goes to show what a little unwanted vibration can do...

Never seen this, they've got a battlebot called Icewave that runs on a gas engine ?
I've never seen one like that it's about to fight right now this oughta be interesting it's got a spinner as a weapon apparently
The blade is 43 pounds and it spins at 1200 RPM ?!

New BattleBots coming on now, this one's got a cannon firing a 5 lb slug at 190 miles an hour..! That better be some strong safety glass around the ring I tell you what ?! 
Used to watch Robot Wars.
Still remember this robot. It was years ago. But i think it was named The Flipper.
Was a genius design. All it was, was a wedge shape with wheels. It wedged itself under the opponent robot, then was spring / hydraulic loaded to flip the other robots over. Had no other means of attack, just flipping them over.
It had a huge run of 6 or 7 episodes.

Yes DREGER was back and got banned already, for what I don't know, so I'm keeping his/her/its Avatar up as a protest until unbanned..!
Some of these designs are incredible they have ones like that that flip over they have some that can flip over and run upside down (I guess that's an answer to the one that flips them?) some have fire, pretty incredible shit!
I bet one that could give a big electric shock and would Short Circuit the other robot would be a good weapon as well?! I haven't seen that design yet ?

I think The Flipper ended up getting a pickaxe or similar slammed into it, so it couldn't move. Then got pushed into the pit. Damn it had a good run though. It was such a chance hit as well. Perfectly timed by its operator.
I was a fan.

Saw that one. Nice idea but a single shot weapon? Hmmm...
Had me thinking about some sort of combo which either lifts or grabs the other one then fires in a pneumatic piston, ideally into the underbelly, potential for multiple use, better piercing capabilities, interchangeable "heads" depending on whether you want impact or piercing capability...

EMP would be banned, I think, interference levels would be illegal, but a "high voltage" surge could make things go on fire, or even explode, quite spectacularly. You zap it up the power cables to the batteries and then there ain't gonna be much battery left...
