what would happen if I planted some plants in october?

lets say temperature is not an issue. The light cycle would be reversed- right?

would it give me some bomb winter-crop or shrivel up and die?

does anyone have any pics of there winter plants?

Your plants would flower right away and you will have a tiny plant, albeit a nice looking one that probably won't give much smoke. Not worth it unless you plan to grow at least a few dozen plants.

I'm thinking about putting like 7- 10 in one of those half wine barrel things. that would be sick to have about ten two footers with like a half-o each.

(root bound issues go away with a little touch of your imagination)

I think the only way you'll get a two footer is if you supplement sunlight with some good indoor lighting. Otherwise you're looking at growing a dwarf.
