Hey guys...im going with my first grow and so far so good. Its 4 weeks into vegetation and i need help. The leaves at the top are growing nicely and look great but the leaves at the base are starting to curl and wilt. I dont have fan in with it because i need to get it discrete, i dont know if that has anything to do with it or not. If anyone has any suggestions that would be amazing....anything would help.

Thank you!

Its lookin good to me.If the lower leafs are curling.wilting or dying its probably not that big of a deal.As the plant grows its perfectly natural to lose some of the lower sets of leafs. If they are really weak then just pull em off, they should come off with almost no effort, but if they put up resistance just leave em.

Hi, watering a lot? Looks like the soil is wet and probably staying wet below the surface a long time. What's your pattern/frequency?
Regardless you need to let the plant dry a bit more. Let some air into the root zone.
Basic rule of thumb is to try to dry the 'root zone' half way out before re-watering. Get a good moisture meter and try this...
Water it well then wait...watch it carefully everyday for signs of wilting beginning. When you finally see the leaves droop a little Count the days it took to wilt and back up 1 day. THAT is your correct watering interval for the time being. It will change as the plant grows bigger.
The moisture meter can help see deeper into the soil and determine how wet the soil is staying. Good Luck!:weed:

hey, yea the soil is wet because i just got done watering it. I usually spray it down like 2 or 3 times a week. Then every two weeks i water it with the solution. How would you be able to dry the roots should i put more holes in the bottom of the pot or the side. Because i cant use the fan due to the noise it makes. Thank you! :bigjoint:

Thanks 420 i will probably end up doing that.

and it looks like its wet because i just gave it spray down..theres like droplets on the leaves as well. I usually spray it down like 4 or 5 times, 2-3 times a week. and i use the water-grow solution once every two weeks thats when it gets like a usual good soak of water...do you think instead i should just water it every two weeks with the grow solution and not spray it as well?bongsmilie

ok there's 1 huge thing you should never do to plants unless they are clones and your rooting them.

The #1 thing you shouldn't do to a plant is mist them because...

1 - Any nutes and minerals in the water will get absorbed through the leafs fast and that can cause nute problums.
2 - The water that's on the leaves will take the light and focous it on that 1 spot causing burning in thoes areas.
3 - You increase the humidity levels in the area that woull encourage mold and powdery Mildew. Powdery Mildew will slowly suffercate your plants and cut back on the amount of light they get thus will slowly kill your plant and its hard to get rid of once you get it.

thanks for your post...i will remember this info for the future...the plant made a full recovery and is presently flowering

might as well give up if you cant keep a fan on........no offense but seriously, your not gonna be able to grow anything worth the risk of whoever you are hiding it from finding out. you wont be able to provide enought light to flower a plant and get more than a gram dry. whats the light cycle your running on?

you can foilage feed your plant but, its not bad to doo during veg, ur just supposed to do the nutes at like 1/8 the normal amount
just dont do it during flowering
