Okay, it seemed about right to do an update every 3 days for the first few weeks. We're 1 day short of the 2-week mark this evening at 13 days from seed.

I've seen a few comments on the Red Dragon being a slow plant to veg, but I don't see any sign of it being slow yet! All 5 plants received a small taste of veg nutes in thier water after the 1 week mark and have since received a straight watering as well as thier first official dose of AN Iguana Grow & Nirvana nutes... all plants seem to be reacting well to the feedings so far... :weed:

Here are the pics in the same sequence once again - please scroll back through my journal to see the growth progression each 3 day intervals so far... :joint:

Tied 3/5 of the plants down (LST) on Wed night (Dec 30) and watered them with thier first full (almost) strength veg nutes which is half/half Iguana Juice Grow and Nirvana on Thurs night - i'm completely sold on AN nutrients since my last grow!!

- I plan to tie-down the last two plants tonight just before I take pics.

...more pics to come this evening as the 3-day progression will continue to be logged for now, possibly right up until flowering time which i expect to be in about 4 weeks. :joint:

scribed, your looking great so far player! i really like the the veg tub, you gotta show us how you hung em! and the flouros hung by power strips and outlet light sockets, plus rep for that!

Hey Drella!! Welcome to my grow journal!

I'm still a beginner but this will be my 3rd consecutive grow and all 3 have been in a bathtub! The first grow wasn't that great as I got 1.5 oz from 3 plants, but last grow was fantastic! (7 oz from 6 plants)

The lights are rigged from a shower-curtain rod which is adjustable. Th middle big light is just hung using chain and s-hooks. The flouro lights are strung from the top rod and back down, out towards the toilet and towel-rack where they are tethered and ran to the outlet from there. It's handy using those power-bars for the lights as they provide more outlets to plug in fans etc.. =) If you're interested, I can take some more pics of the rod-rigging - let me know. =) :leaf:

Okay, so 4/5 of the plants are now tied down. One of the Red Dragons has been topped instead of LST'd. I know it may be a tad bit early to top, but they're looking very healthy and I don't think they'll mind! The first 3 were LST'd this past Wed night and have already bounced back conserably...see if you can tell from the following pics. The front 3 were tied down on Wed, the back left one was tied down this evening and the back right one was topped this evening. Enjoy! :leaf:

Almost forgot to mention.... I tried to keep the top from the one Red Dragon and gave it some rooting gel and put it in a small yogurt container with holes in the bottom (it's in the back row in the above pics.) I put a zip-lock bag over it to keep as much moisture in as possible...we'll see if it takes.

...oh yeah, I used some of the plain pro-mix soil moistened to almost soaking for the medium in the clone container - it's just an experiment really....

hell yeah bro you're getting better and better! fricken shower rod! it really is a growers friend, i was given advice to use shower rod in my bloom room to tie down my plants, great advice! i have a height restraint in my bloom room, 4x4x6, so tying down will defn be needed.

those don't look to small to top. ive done cuttings before, but always been too scared to take an actual cutting off the top, as a topping. i always just top the top new growth. good luck! those experiments are gonna be what gets you to the next level, but you know that!

Looking good. My RD was slow strarting and has some funky leaf formations but starting to grow. Cant wait to see how yours do for ya.

Wow, it's late! I'm going to post this pic update to stay with the 'every 3 days' log I have going...not much to say here at this stage other than that they may have gotten slowed down a bit with the LST and topping...but they are looking a bit bushier since the last update... :weed:

...same set of 4 pics plus 2 extras (closeups) this time - one of my Red Dragon that has sets of 3 leaves instead of 2, and one of the other Red Dragon plants that I topped.

- Here's the latest pic update - not much happening at this point since the last update, but I wanted to keep the 3-day progression going for at least this one more time. The next round of pics may not be for an entire week.

- Some yellow leaves on the bagseed plants but they're the bottom leaves under where it's tied down - leaves that I should have trimmed after it was tied, so I'm not worried. I suppose it was good to keep them for a time, as they have warned me of some over-feeding and now the rest of the plant is better for it!

- Got a tub of melted snow waiting to be used in the water/feeding which should be tomorrow evening as they are looking a bit dry and are feeling light enough to be dry all the way through. I've noticed quite a bit that since I'm not using any of my compost this time, they don't hold nearly as much moisture and are needing more frequent waterings..

- Repotting will likely be in about 1 week depending on thier height at that time - i'd like to get a few clones about a week before they go into flowering and then keep the clones vegging for a few weeks before putting them into flower as well - that will give me a full flowering room and come harvest time, i'll have two batches, one following the other by about 2-3 weeks. =)
It's interesting watching the one RD plant continue to grow out sets of 3 leaves instead of the normal 2 - The topmost cola should be a dewsey! :weed:

I'm scribed.

Thinking bout buying some red dragon seeds myself. Love the description of the strain so I'll look forward to watching your grow progress. Best of luck.

Subscribed. Good luck with your grow! My red dragon's a week from harvest and it smells like candy!!! SOOOO SWEET!!!! It was easy to grow, low maintenance and stays short and bushy on its own, no need to train. Grew in OF/LW with bone/blood meal and azomite. Didn't need any additional ferts, just occasional molasses, hygrozyme and liquid karma. If it tastes half as good it smells, we're in for a big treat!!!!

Thanks for joining me guys - welcome!!

- All the plants are now just past the 4 week mark.
- They were all transplanted into my 3-gal soft-pots this past Monday and just moved down into the new tent this evening under the 600w MH.
- The clone from the topped RD didn't make it as it's stem was way too short to take root.
- Ran the tent last night to test temps and it was hitting 81 F as a high and 73 F as a low - seems to be riding 77-78 F most of the time.
- watered them all last night with full strength veg nutes.

Well, here's some pics of the ladies in their new home! Also a pic showing my setup and ducting. :bigjoint:

Okay it's been about 4 days since my last update - been watching my plants very close in this past while since it wasn't looking all that promising there for a bit...

- My temps are great in the tent now, got a fairly steady 70-73 F with around 50% humidity.
- The plants are now starting to respond nicely and have grown about and inch and a half in the past day or so.
- Two out of the 5 are showing sex - both females! That's the bagseed plant and 1 of the dragons.
- The 3-leaved dragon is looking very 'exotic' and is a very bright green color with sturdy looking foliage and stem - she's going to be a real star!
- The Dreamtime plant is very distictive with a dark green color and stragly looking leaves - just like the other Dreamtime plants looked, but growing faster now as well with very healthy looking leaves and more bud sites than I remember it having...

...I may take a few pics this week and post 'em, we'll see. Anyone out there want to see new pics? :leaf:

Here's the pic update - decided to get it done this evening. I'm happy with how they are starting to respond now - they seem a lot more comfortable with their new home! :leaf:

There's a single pic of each plant and a group shot, plus an extra one at the end, top down of the exotic looking Red Dragon with the sets of 3 leaves. Nice and green! =)
