I've got a fem seed pack waiting for my next grow, don't know much about it other than what Barney describes.

The info I have gathered so far is this:
Stay away from 24/0 during veg. 20/4 or 18/6 is much better.
Take care not to over water. Like most of the 'red' strains they like a bit of a dry period between waterings. But dont be fooled! They can really suck up the water.
In general treat them extra gentle. The femmed strain is still a bit unstable and prey to herming. But still the bomb! I have smoked it but yet to grow it. I also have a fem pack in the wings for my next grow.
Hope this helps, it is info I have gotten from folks that have grown it. Good Luck!

I've done two grows with this strain and I must say it's probably my favorite strain to grow out of the 20-30 strains I've grown. This plant if taken care of properly is a BEAST. Every flower site is dense hard nugs and it requires hardly any trimming. Buds are always completely coated in trichomes as well. The smoke is very distinct with that diesel taste.

Let me see if I can get a pic in here.

Is that pic of a mature bud? How long did it veg? It looks like you went straight into 12/12. Did you?

I have a few of these seeds and am dying for some reliable info on it. It seems so scarce.

I have six and a half foot tall tents so space is a consideration. I have them in 3x3 and 4x4.

How would you suggest maximizing space with four or five females in one to two tents? I love LST and am pretty handy with it but the sour diesel I grew went in crazy directions when I tried to tie it down and I have heard this about diesels.

Maybe I can veg for two weeks and let them shoot straight up? Is that too long for my space limitations (two and a half feet are taken up by the pot and the hanging lights meaning I have a three and a half foot limit really, if not three)?

These plants remain pretty short from what I have seen. Topping once creates extreme side branching. It is very vigorous, as I can see the flowers getting thicker by the day.

I have some RED DIESEL beans lying around someone gave me. So I have a hankering for something different. How did you germ before paper towel? & have you been successful using that method? I use a different method.
I germ everything in distilled water-w-H2O2. PH hasn't mattered yet, I've germinated both ways. Thats what I had found so far. They sprout with in 24hrs 98% of the time. Some take 30hrs to pop. Sometimes I scuff them with
I've had a few that didn't pop, I chalk it up to immature or damaged seeds. I have a scope I connect to my computer & have done intense testing. Also using any x-ray unit to see the difference. & you can see & tell if it's viable or not!
I have had whole 5pks from TGA & none popped. I've had beans with 2 tap roots:-o more than once. I had also received damaged product. There packaging sucks & @ times they are unstable. Don't get me wrong I like the genetics very much, when I get a good pack I'll keep it going do to the odds of get anything another that has stable characteristic's.
I don't keep mothers for long, once I find a viable replacement, Mama goes into flower. I cut clones maybe 2 or it could be 5 or more. depends on how Mama grows.

This is an old post I see. So if your around please let me know how the RED DIESEL worked out. I have 6 seeds, only popping 3 for now! I'm glad I found this info, simce I've not grown this before.
Any more info or pics I'd like to see.
Thanks for all your input I've read.

I love my Red Diesel, had her for a couple years now, she can support her self, potent, rock hard buds, easy to trim.
