bagseed grow....noob looking for SERIOUS help.

:joint: hi guys im starting to grow with 8 seeds (bagseed) that germinated nicely (roots wer half inch to and inch long) . i have just planted in small pots and i am growing in my windowsill. this is just and experament to get the feel of growing weed nd understanding the plant as i want to start my own grow room under lights etc. sometime early next year. :weed: how often do i water plant , do i feed nutrients..???
any help, tips would be greatly appriecated :peace:



DAY 1 of the grow
 
Deff check out the newbie section of this site. As for watering and feeding. For now keep the soil moist (not wet) till the plant grows it's first set of leaves. No feeding right away. What growing medium do you have it in? Once it is growing and not just a sprout, water when the first inch or two gets dry. Just check with your finger.
 
If you put them in good soil you prolly don't need to add nutes for a weeks or so. They say to keep the soil moist but not saturated. it needs to be kinda dry for the roots to get oxygen and stuff. I started my grow on the cheap side and it is turning out just as I hoped. I used cfls to veg and 400w hps to flower. the hps is going to be kinda expensive, but cfls are pretty cheap. there are some pretty good threads on here from really cheap (my kinda setup) to freakin $5000 first grow, where dudes got exotic seeds and super expensive setups. its up to you and your budget.
 
i just have them planted in muti purpose compost soil. im completey new to growing so is the growing medium the area or ?? so no watering until they have sproted.... how long beofre i should expect to see some life???


yea my budget would be quite low mabye $500 max..... i was thinkin of purchaseing a complete kit with lights nd a tent for my 1st set up.

The medium in your case is soil. Didn't say don't water just don't heavy water. Need to keep it warm and moist. Life can be as quick as a few days to a week. Have a look in the newbie action for all kinds of info from how to grow to room set up, and right up to harvest. As I tell all new growers, the more you know about what can happen and how to fix it, before it happens, the better off you are. Knowing what a problem is when it happens it better than asking after the problem starts. This Knowledge, will reward you with health plants that will yield frosty nuggets (hopefully it turns out to be female).
 
I read this site for a while before I started my first grow, which is going nice I guess. Since it is just an experimental run like boscostoner is doing I don't have pics. But I did do it the same way where I grew for a week infront of a windowsill. and they came out nicely

i have been browseing this site endlessly the past couple weeks and also i have been intrested in growing my own bud the past year or 2 it was just never an option but im slowly starting to understand it bit by bit....but as they say pratice makes perfect so i am trying these bagseed to see what the outcome is!!!! i will keep updated and as soon as i see some life i will post some pics!!!

hi all.... still no sign of life keeping soil moist and still have them inda windowsill with tin foil layerd on the walls.
when they sprout hopefully put them under cfls and try get them throu veg stage succsefuly.
any idea what watt cfls would be ideal......budget is quite limited.

alas.....the 1st few signs of life. 3 have sprouted so far :)
how long before i should be able to tell the sex of the plant???
should i get these under cfls now nd if so is this where i start the veg stage???

let the fun begin :)
 
I had a better result when I was't serious and had 1 plant growing in my window. I couldn't keep her when she started to flower (broke my heart), but it was 1 seed and easy peasy.
Now I have lights and had alot of seeds, I have killed so many plants after I got serious about growing. Just don't make the same mistakes I have made and over think everything.

4 have sprouted now...yea hopefully i can get them under lights in next day or 2....grow location has kind of fukd up but we have a solution:idea: i was tinkin in between 6 to 7 weeks wat ya tink bout dat?? how long before i should be able to tell the sex of the plant??
 
grow operation fell apart plants sprouted luvly and everyting but grow location fukd up and couldnt get them under lights!!!!:wall:

will be seting up proper grow room nd starting a serious grow early janurary next year and a new thread will be started!!!
