please what to do with em.

i'm interested to know the answer to this myself. from what i've read, those negligible fluctuations in time probably won't affect anything. but, i'm not speaking from experience on this one. just keep growing them on 12/12 and keep a close eye on them. inspect them closely every day. i doubt it was enough to turn them hermie, but like i said, i'm not speaking from personal experience on this one. :peace:

i dont think it would make a difference, posters have frequently stated that they arent using a timer and simply turn the lights off when they go to work and turn them on when they get home, etc... hermies are more likely to occur if there are light leaks or a few severe cycle disruptions... 1/2 and hour here and there shouldnt be too detremental

if you think about it, in nature, the length of the day changes gradually as seasons progress, not to mention, there are cloudy/rainy days, so maybe a little fluctuation wouldn't freak the plants out and cause them to become hermaphrodites...

however, i wonder if this is the case on an indoor grow, since the only thing plants on an indoor grow ever know during their lifetime is consistent light schedules of 18/6, 12/12, whatever/whatever, day-in and day-out... if that starts to change, and the plant isn't used to variation, i wonder if fluctuation can have more impact on an indoor grow than fluctuation on an outdoor grow.

it's sort of a question of nature vs nurture... how much weight do we give to the genetics of a plant and how much to the environment as we wait for the answer to the question: what's their gender?
