First thread I've started here on RIU glad to be here and back in the growing game. I've successfully grown & harvested some nice crops of Northern Lights from seed about 4 years ago in 3GA buckets using the Lucas Formula.
This grow I am planning on using a Growlab80 for flowering (2'7" x 2'7" x 5'11") is this the best tent to use? I've seen cheaper online but haven't found to much feedback on them.
Inside the tent I have a ~ 270 CFM 4" fan, 4" carbon filter, 250W HPS with electronic ballast (MH or HPS its interchangeable)
(The tent, fan & filter are the only thing I'm waiting on right now)
(4) 5GA buckets with 6" net pots. 4 output pump form HTG I think 15L rating? I may add more air. 5" round air stones, black tubing to keep down algae growth.
I have all my tools again, PPM meter, PH meter, using GH Micro & Bloom (Lucas Formula again)
I have White Widow (Feminized), AK-48 (Feminized) & Jock Horror (Feminized)
I am debating on 3 or 4 buckets for my system right now 4 will make it very tight and 3 may be easier to maintain with rotating buckets and moving them around. I may use one bucket as a pre flower bucket in the veg room still unsure yet.
Veg room consists of T5 lights suspended above a homemade cloner from the DIY section on here.
I'd love to have mother plants for all 3 but I think I'm going to germinate 1 seed each hopefully I'll have 100% rate and do the 3 buckets since I have three strains.
I will pull some cuttings for mothers for the 2nd round after first harvest so I can work from clones or I may make all 3 mothers then take clones its really up in the air.
I'm still putting everything together and testing the system so once all the kinks are ironed out I'll be posting some photos. I'll probably start a grow journal as well so folks can follow along.
