Busted is the title for a specific reason. On the 5oclock news, there was a story about a 72 YEAR OLD MAN , who just got busted for having ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX POUNDS OF MARIJUANA!
That is ridiculous ! He was in MARYLAND (state of this wonderful server!) and was in a fender bender at 7-11. The police towed his car because he had a restricted license and then searched the trunk and found 146 pounds , at an estimated 1.4million dollars.

I just find it funny that someone who is 72 years old would be doing something like that.. think about it.. John Mccain is 71 years old, imagine that.

legalize it.

even if they made it legal n put a shit load of tax on it. would solve a load of probz around the world...

Yeah it would take our country right out of debt and pay for the over 200billion a year spent in iraq... its also funny because large tobacco cooperations have already bought the papers for names that they would use if they sold marijuana legally.

philip morris is trying to patent every name you know since noone has patented them yet. if they legalize weed and philip morris patents all thos strains no one will grow but them . its illegal to grow tobacco .. think about it

I dont know who the hell comes up with this math...works out to be over $9500 per pound. Selling bags at $50 1/8ths (normal for around here) it works out to be $6400 a LB....At $9500 a LB works out at $75 an 1/8....and for sure somebody with access to 146 LBs isn't gonna be slinging $50 dollar bags at the bingo hall....Maybe $400K worth of weed, but doubt he even paid that....

I wish to high hell that all these "estimated street values" the government likes to throw around really reflected true to life prices.

Anybody ever bought a $10,000 pound of bud in their life ,because thats what their "estimated value" works out to be.

It depends, on many factors, including the people he is selling to, the quality of the product, and many more things. My guess is he is just selling pounds to a couple people, or maybe even the whole thing to one person, who in turn distributes to another collection of people and it works its way down the chain. In MD for instance, and ounce of heady weed goes from anywhere 375-600$. Around the 450-500 range.

but then things are different over there, life is life i believe - over here (UK) you can get life and still be out after 8 years with good behaviour. and you only serve 2/3 of any allocated sentence!
