Ok now we have our greencards, this is a good thing, we now can legally aquire, use, possess, transport, transfer and cultivate cannabis in Arizona. This is a great time for those of us that have a true need and or a compassion to provide for others. I feel anytime money is involved to purchase this medication your being abused by either a money grubbing self-serving opportunist drug dealer and/or governmental agency. Not that we've not all been abused in the past, now is our opportunity to move forward. I am currently providing for two patients and maintain a 6x6 area that provides superior quality and volume to supply the needs for many. I have a style that works for me and for what I like doing, with some easy and very rewarding effort, we all can surround our needs with the very special medications so many need. I have been supplying free medication to my circle for many years now and all I can say is STOP THINKING HYDRO way to complicated and results are second rate at best. Band together get your circle and grow the best darn meds in the world.... All connoisseur quality, custom grown marijuana, is grown in dirt. It's all about the taste and quality not the yield and $$..

Hey nice that you grow, no not saying soil meds are better, just much more work get superior quality results with hydro and the taste cannot compare with dirt. Interesting pictures hope things work out well for you in the end..

They always do it's not the first hydro grow I have done. I will agree that soil meds taste better than hydro but I cant tell unless its a organic grown. And hydro is more time consuming but you can definitely come back from making a mistake, in soil if you mess up the plant is pretty much gone... Hydro you can change out water adjust PH in the water wash roots do lots of things to save your plant. We call hydro a more forgiving method of growing. Soil vs Hydro o me is all bullshit it's all in the grower and genetics. If you know what you are doing you are gonna have a good harvest.

Actually, that's exactly what you said.

Welcome.
Growing takes on many styles, technically we're all growing hydro, add water, it drains through container or media and out the bottom, how long it stays in the media is a matter of how porous and how your media retains moisture. Some hydro grows are watered several times a day again pending the media. My style is a 3 gallon pot with soil that allows me to water twice week, it's just perfect. The soil is most important and how it's put together, makes care so easy, one gallon twice a week along with the nutes and a 1000w 80degree room and look out little chance ever for a setback and superior results can be assured. Converse to a water circulating systems can be very confusing/messy to newbies and in large compared to my grows are like I said "are second rate" as a rule, most hydro seems to be harvested way too soon (as most commercial grow ops) besides being messy and expensive, my strong advice to a patient or caregiver is go simple, cheap, clean and get rewarded big time... Again it's all about what's your style and what you enjoy. Oh also I only grow from seed... Can superior results be achieve with the hydro? Of course but why.. good luck.. :joint:

"most hydro seems to be harvested too soon" Dude who are you watching grow hydro? I harvest when my trichomes say so, the medium water or soil has nothing to do with harvest times. You take a microscope and look at the trichomes thats how you harvest correctly. You come on here to shit on hydro but you dont know what you are talking about.

wow guy... I totally agree with you, water or soil has nothing to do with harvest times, hope your not reading my post that way, cuz your wrong, it's not what I implied at all. I am not here to shit on hydro at all, just pointing out some facts. It's all about style guy if you wanna play around with tubes buckets, measuring meters, pumps and test tubes etc. god bless you and wish you the absolute best... don't take it personally man, nobody's coming after your beloved hydro.. Oh by the way I do know what I am talking about...

Hmmm... Everything that I have been reading from users on RIU and other internet sites say that hydro produces better yields per plant than growing in soil does.. I think ease of growing depends on the grower. Kind of the "to each his own" method. Personally, I don't mind spending a bit of extra time and money on my plants if I feel like I am going to get more out of them. You are also making a hydro system sound complicated. Your opinion could also go the other way as an argument. If you want to mess around with pots, potting soils and mixing nutes and things into your soils, watering techniques and meters to monitor humidity/ temp etc then god bless you and wish you the absolute best.. See what I mean? It sounds like you are partial to soil, which is cool if that is what you feel best at, but at the same time it sounds like you are crapping on hydro systems...when hydro systems have proven results. Both in yield and veg/flower times. Potency( quality in your words) is really only affected by strain and people say taste is partly determined by hydro or soil grows. The other part is things added to the grows that can affect that a bit.

I still don't know exactly even know what your thread was trying to accomplish though. It sounds like you were trying to gain more card holders to grow for at first, and then the second thing you do is start shitting on Hydro growers then you repost and contradict or cover what you initially said. So you can see why they would get defensive. I have yet to do a single grow, so I am neutral to this. But I have decided to grow hydro as I think that is an easier concept for me and makes sense to me given my situations.

If you feel like soil is your medium and you do best at that.. Then that is great. But I don't think that coming on here stating an opinion, contradicting that opinion when people question you about it... and then being condescending "your beloved hydro" is going to win you any points.. Good luck though..

Doesnt sound like it at all. You straight up typed " Most hydro grows seem to be harvested too early" Where did you get that info from? Personal opinion ? Maybe you didnt imply it but you typed it and on a message board that's what every user has to go by. So if trichome are what you look at for harvest why did you type " hydro seems to be harvested too soon?" Please elaborate. I'm a grown man not on here to fight just want you to clarify your claims.

Honestly he should have just came out and typed " Soil grows are for the lazy grower and hydro for the growers that have a lot of time to waste" because it is a fact and I can testify to it, Hydro is really time consuming and I tell that to anyone who wants to grow using hydro. Ask my man Fatboy he knows what I'm talking about. And yes I agree Soil is waaaaaayyy easier x's 10.

Its not a debate at all .. I love both styles of grows. He just made false claims and I called him out on it...Read that shit he said people who grow hydro harvest too early.. And I fucking agree the best smelling and tasteing chronic from the jars comes from organic soil.

Oh and that clip is fucking funny. Fucking Phil that cracked me up for reals!!! you need to post this video I will PM you the link.
