Automatics run...any advice appreciated!

Hey everybody.

So Im running automatics in between my regular monthly harvest. Thing is Im not accustomed to autos, and dont really have a bead on perfecting them.

Set up-Im running a 600watt hps in a 5ft x 2ft tent.
6 plants total-SCROG
14gal totes-2 plants per tote in 6in net pots
aeroponic misters
running 1min ON 5min OFF
AN Sensi grow&bloom
AN Bud candy
AN Big bud
AN Overdrive

Im running HSO-Lemon Juice Express and BF-Blue Mammoth

What Im wondering is...Since I use the same 14gal aeroponic 2 plants per site, with my regularly flowering plants I didnt know if the Auto's would need the same amount of root space or if its overkill. Since its known that larger roots, and larger plants mean larger harvests I though it would still be relevant. The only reason I even use aeroponic is because IMO the plants grow much faster and much bigger.

Now theres a lot of people using different light times for autos. Ive seen 24/0,20/4, and 18/6. If anybody can shed a little light (no pun intended) on how much light/darkness is ideal for auto strains thatd be much appreciated. Ive run at 24/0 before but it looked almost like the plants were yearning for some darkness. As soon as I went to 20/4 on my Haze autos, they produced much much more trichs.

This is also the first time Id be doing a SCROG on autos. I also dont know if this is unnecessary because theyre autos, or if because im giving so much root space it might be prudent. Maybe some LST or topping would be better??

Im really trying to dial in the BEST and MOST EFFICIENT way to run these autos. Any input would be very much appreciated! Thanks!
 
I start mine on 24/0 for first two weeks then 18/6 an coming close to harvest wen 3/4 of way threw lifecycle 14/10. Im sure ur not supposed to top autos. I never tried them in anything but soil there not fans of to much nutes. Im not sure if sog or scrog make much diffrence in autos as u can top them .
 
I heard you can top autos but you would have to do it early on like 10-15 days old, but i would wait for someone who has more experience try asking in the autoflowering section.

both good other then 24/0 plants need a down time

i just let my autos grow sycle is up so fast
most all can be done to autos as regulers clones the works
no matter whut you have heard just none makes any sence and are not worht the time to get over the shock and stress

i start seeds as normal
seedling stage same just water and root enhancers
3rd week start at about 1/4 strenth food work yo way up to about 1/2 strenth and max there they do no t like full strenth food
i stop food at week 7 and replace wit molasses and water till finish
i finish by trichs not by calender though most your true autos done in 8 to 10 weeks

they love light more the merryer

hate transplant i normally do one at max

show sex at about 18 days male about 22 female
i normally give veg food till sex fully shown then switch
i dont change light schedule at all start to finish


other then that enjoy thm
