Autoflowering strain not flowering after 7 weeks

I've got a plant which, after 7 weeks, shows so sign of flowering. In my n00b brain this sounds decent and suggests it will be a great yield, but a friend said that because it's auto that means something is up and I should induce by changing to a 12/12 cycle. I've done 24/0 from seed to now, in an Aerogarden pure hydro system.

Are there really negatives if I don't make it flower soon, or should I be thanking my lucky stars to get this extra veg time?

What strain is it and where did you get it?
Seven weeks is way too long

It's a "Lady Gargar" (I know, I know, but I like to try new strains) auto feminised, which I bought from here:

They don't stock this particular strain any more, which is perhaps ominous in of itself.

I've engaged in LST for the first time, and it's a big fat bush of a plant now. It's been nicely trimmed, pHed, fed etc.

Is there an actual issue with letting it go longer without switching to 12/12? I like the idea of it growing bigger, but not sure if that impacts on the quality or even sex (according to a friend?).

I would talk to them (herbies) about it. Well, the only issue I see is it not flowering, just switch to 12/12 whenever you want... and it growing bigger having an impact on sex is laughable.
