i have a question about autoflowering

i had last year an autoflowering berry plant that give me about 10 seeds .

i had 10 of them in same room and only one did this

if i plant the seeds from that plant what will it be . is this a surprise or it will still be an autoflowering

do you have infos about that .

thanks a lot

It all depends if it is an F-1 hybrid or if it was from a stable strain. Most autoflower strains are pretty much stable by the time they hit market. It will be the same as buying seeds,For example if a white widow self-pollinates itself you will get a white widow but not a clone of the parent you will just get another white widow. It is not a clone if that is what you are wondering because there are genes mixing when it fertilizes itself. This does not happen in a clone, there is no gene mixing or pollination process going on when you take and grow a clone. However if your seeds was from an F-1 hybrid parent then there is a 50/50 chance you will get a different strain than that of the parent. With a self fertilized hybrid there is a 50% chance it will be the same strain as the father and 50% same strain as the mother of the parent that self fertilized itself. I have made seeds from several strains and they all ended up being just like the parent. White widow, think different, white dwarf, red poison i have made seeds with just one plant and they all ended up being just like the parent. I've been growing the same strains for a long time exception being red poison.Hope this makes sense because i'm mEdIcAtEd.

Just to clarify what a hybrid is, a hybrid is an organism made from two different phenotypes "flavours" to make an organism that has traits from both the father and the mother. Its the same as an asian man mixing with a caucasian woman or vice versa.

You should get all females. depending on why it hermed, the seeds may or may not pass on nuts to its daughters. Good luck.

My autos near harvesting started developing the beginnings of little seed pods here and there. It's nothing to worry about. It didn't affect my crop's potency at all.

I'd just be worried your genetics are unstable and your growing out the most unstable out of the ten you had.

I just harvested my first auto (Amnesia) this morning. All the buds have the seed pod beginnings but the small buds at the bottom of the plant all had seeds. I have about 25-30 seeds. The buds mid way up the plant and the tops do not have any seeds. Can someone comment on this please.

Cheers,

Post #5 seems to sum it up for you.

I gather it hermed at some point. Just never really noticed it. Will dry and cure the tops and see what happens.
