AUTOFLOWER question

can you grow your auto flowers in 12\12 light from day 1? or does it have to be 24/7 no matter wah
 
you can grow it 12/12 but your yeild will hurt in the end cause you only got like 3 weeks of veg so you want to get it as big as you can (seeing there already short plants already)
 
you can grow autos on a 4/20 if you want its not gonna be pritty the ideal lighting is 18/6 for the highest yeild
 
I've read from a number of sources that the best lighting for autoflowering plants is 4/20, the number can't be a coincidence. :) But with that said, I did 24 hours during the first 3 weeks after I germinated and then flipped to 20/4 until it was time to flower my clones and then went to 12/12. I don't have another grow with the autoflowerers to say which is better but with that said 4/20 then 12/12 still produced happy plants.

From what I understand about autoflowering strains is that they will flower when they're ready regardless of how much light they get. The only thing that will slow their flowering is stress which I know from experience after snapping one of my plants in half during a failed LST attempt. The stress from that slowed the flowering time down by 4 weeks, but it was a SEVERE amount of stress. After the plant recovered it grew like it had been topped and now has two colas so it's all good.
 
actually everywere ive read they say that the ideal lighting for autos is 18/6 if you have expirienced diff thats cool but facts are facts the only other ideal lighting was a 20/4 that ive read but never a constant 24........... i wish i could tell you i know this from expirience but my auto were defective from factory lol and grew about 40 inches tall

let me ask you somthing my last grow i had 5 out of 5 males so i wanna try to avoid this this time should i stat the plants on a 12/12 and then switch after they have sexed or should i start on a 18/6 wait till they get an ok size switch to a 12/12 then back to a 18/6........
 
i'm new to this autoflowering bizzzzz....it really sounds interesting and worth while considering i just lost ALL my clones :x whats the best place to order autoflower seeds? and is the output similar at all per wattage? are the buds dank like normal? i think this would be a good thing for me to start since i have to wait on more clones and then veg em while auto's are growing...i'm guessing it takes like 11-13 weeks from seed? any and all answers would be helpful...

autos usually grow to be small around 20 inches give or take but they only take 8 weeks form seed to harvest , altho your yeild are not as big the bud is just as good and comes quickier
