Do you know the name of the 'soil' you are using? How many cycles have you been using it for? Do you recondition it after each use or go straight from finishing one in flower and then start one in veg immediately after? To me, having a runoff of just 2 cups isn't going to be very accurate. I flushed my girls too a few days ago, and the first runoff can be a bit 'off'. My ph came out fine..but ppms went from 3000 on one girl, and after 4 gallons of water through a 4 gallon pot, it was down to 700-800. The first few litres though that came out, were very high.

I cant find anything about that light. Do you know the draw from the wall? (is it pulling 300 watts from the wall) Is it a cob led? The only one i see called that is a 205 watter but that's at full power..it has a veg mode which uses 105 watts? 20 inches away seems reasonable. Do you have other plants under the same light? If those are fine, then i highly doubt it's light causing the bleaching.

You have the right light. i forgot it is 205 watts. The thing is that this plant the directly under the 2 cobs so its right at the highest par point. Still raising the light to se if this helps.

I guess try switching them around or moving it first to eliminate that possibility. From what i see, the light isn't all that strong..the cobs are of better quality, but the smaller led's are weaker epistars and bridgelux. According to the specs, it gives off just over 1000 umol/s at centre of footprint and 18 inch height. That in itself wouldn't cause a burn, and you're at 20 inches. Try raising to 24 inches, i guess you never know.

I'm adding 1 teaspoon of dolomite lime put quart of water to see if I can get the soil PH under control. Will report back if it works or not.

I will safely say it won't make a positive difference at all. Dolomite lime is simple calcium and magnesium. Without knowing what you are actually growing in, it's hard to help. Best of luck to you and hope you're able to figure it out!

i replanted the plant in question. This is my 2nd grow and i didnt realize the soil im using, although good, is not a PH neutral soil so i added some dolomite lime to the soil mix to balance out PH along with PH'ing my RO water to 7.2 .. She seems happy so far.. new growth looks good.

Thank you again for all of your help. You made me realize my soil is not the correct PH for growing marijuana .. Just another learning lesson for me !

Hope it goes well for you, whatever works:) I would still be careful keeping waterings at that high of a ph..above 7 is not a good idea in any growing medium!

you are right. for my next grow i will find better soil to use. Do you have any suggestions?? I think that there are certain places around me that have pro mix soil.

I really don't. I don't know what the issue with your current medium is so i can't help with getting another one. Dirt is dirt to me, it's how one takes care of it that will dictate how the plant grows. Im scrapping my current grow of auto's, but when i do my next grow next fall/winter..i will try hydro as plants seem to grow better and faster in that. Soil was ok, but too much to keep track of in terms of what's in the soil, what might be building up, hydro is straight forward.

I think you are right, hydro is probably the way to go. A new thing to learn , but hey, i really havent learned how to perfect the dirt grow, so not much wasted time.

In the mean time, looking over a marajuana PH chart, i see that the top cutoff is around 7. I know for a fact that my dirt brings the ph lower, so if i aim for a PH of 7 with my water, i know the soil will bring if back down to under 7 which is as good as it gets with the dirt im using.

Will start actively looking for hydro systems to get started for my next one after these autoflowers are done.

ya, its something new to learn..i have never tried it either..but soil has gotten a bit boring for me, I always grow a different strain and it gets hard to figure out how each one reacts to the feedings, and in soil its harder to know as dirt will hang on to nutes and there is always a buildup of one or another that affects another and so on. In hydro, I give it what it wants..if something is too much or not enough..it can be immediately taken out or added and the roots feel it right away. My only issue with hydro was the water temperature..that's why I never tried as in the su7mmer I cant keep the water cool enough..in the winter it would cost too much to keep the water warm enough lol..so I have 1 chance in the spring or earlier fall to do a fast auto to se how it looks. As for ph, ya it depends on your medium. I have noticed that my plants look the same whether I give 6.0 or 7.0..so I actually stopped looking at ph for the most part. With hydro I will keep a closer eye on it. This grow was terrible for me, grew 3, 3 foot auto's with no bud lol..by far my biggest plants, thickest stems for auto's, and yet less bud than my 1st grow which used 4 23 watt cfl bulbs lol. this had about 6-700 watts of led's and cfl's lol. Im looking for good places to buy quality seeds..im done with barney's farm lol.
