hey hey!
so after months of reading up and checking out forums i have pretty much got everything i need to begin my grow. im in northern spain and will be waiting til April to germinate, as i will be growing on a 9th floor balcony and am close to the Atlantic coast i feel i should let the temps rise a bit, regardless of how eager i am to get this going!
will be using an autopot 1pot system with a layer of clay balls and then filled up with coco (canna coco pro plus), 3 x 15 litre pots
hesi nutes (i got the coco starter kit....i know its a bit controversial as many growers think there are a lot of unecessary things in the starter kit but ill give it a shot with the hesi nute schedule...starting at half the recommended dose and seeing how the plants react)
finally the seeeeeds!
advanced biodiesel mass
royal queen northern lights
buddha seeds white dwarf
dutch passion automazar
i have a few seeds of each, all autofem, as i have 3 pots i havent decided which to start with but ill probably save the automazar til the weathers even warmer and ive had a bit of experience..from what i have read they can put out some epic greenery if grown nicely!
i intend to germinate indoors and stick em in jiffys by the window. when ready, straight into the big pots outside and ill hand water from the top til the roots are big enough to let the autopots do their thang.
hopefully ill get 3 grows by starting in April. many will question why im going for autos as loads of people seem kinda against them. my balcony is pretty private but a big plant would definately draw attention, i would consider scrogging a big one horizontally but the problem is id only be able to fit one on there really....and as i have no controlled lighting as indoor growers do i cant exactly force flower whenever i want, id have to grow through the whole summer ! this way i get to try a few different flavors, see which plants work best with my growing gear, environment and temps, and my girl...well she doesnt like her weed as strong as me and has different medical requirements than myself, therefore we need a few different strains to try out. then next year ill try some more!
hopefully this will be helpful to anyone considering a grow similar to mine, i know i have scoured the net for as much info as possible and im sure others are doing the same. i havent found any outdoor autopot coco autoflower grows yet..... its also for my personal log and hopefully a bit of moral support along the way.
sun hits the balcony from morning til afternoon all day sun would of course be better but some sources say sunlight reflected from clouds is better than direct sunlight anyway....
if anyone has any questions please get involved. its my first post, my first grow, my first journal! lots advise to start in soil before heading straight into hydro or other substrates but i feel i have found enough info to bypass soil. i have a ph reader too, some ph adjusters, neem oil for the bugs, a jewellers loupe thing to checm the trichs when budding, and a shit load of other stuff i cant remember right now.
would love to hear some tips or experience growers have had with these strains...if not....well theres a first time for everything and i shall tell you how it goes!
i look forward to chatting with you all and will be posting mainly in and after April, thought id get this up here now to see if anyone has some info on these strains before i start. or to call me on something i may have missed....either way
PEACE
