Auto Pots, Few Questions!

Hello Everyone! Hope your all good...

Long time! Been out of the game for quite a while now but doing some research into getting back into it very soon. I will be switching from my normal method of canna coco to the Auto Pot because of all the benefits i've heard of.
Been doing quite a bit of research on them and just want some opinions on people who have used or are using them at the minute.

One of the main reasons Im going to switch is because of how much time it takes out of my life when done with the normal hand watering method, its so time consuming... Few questions I have....

1) Is it all gravity related on how the res feeds the pots? No power needed at all?

2) My grow is going to need at least a 100L Res (10 girls), I will be getting my girls when they are a rooted clone, how much would you first put in the Res at this stage when there babies? around 30L or so? or does it all differ?

3) Has anybody used the Flexitank? Been doing some research on them and they look pretty awesome!

4) Im going to be using just clay pebbles for this method, does anybody else use this way of doing it?

Thanks in advance you lovely people!

I have never heard of this method but it looks pretty good. If you are going to do this I wonder what the PH will be after they drink the water to almost nothing in the individual tanks. I also wonder how you are going to get your roots to grow into the water in the begining. Ebb and Gro will do the same basic thing but it will replenish all the water 3 times a day and then pump it all back to the main res giving a better over all watering in my opinion. Just my 2 cents.

Hi man, thanks for the reply.

From what I can gather from reading previous posts and articles on this, the PH will remain constant at what you set it at, as you change the res water every 7 days anyway. It feeds every plant individually, not at the same time meaning the plant only gets fed when it needs to.

Good point with the roots question. To be honest i really dont know how you can get the roots to grow down when they are babies but they must do it if its proven to work? I dont know if you set it all up and the hand water them once to give them a kick start to find water?

Any answers would be appeciated!
