auto flower not flowering?! is it male or something else...

Hello!

Having an odd issue of a critical rapido (Barney's) plant not seeming to flower.

I'm running a 300w dual spectrum CFL with two 6" fans (intake/outtake) in a 1m by 0.5m grow box. Soil grow with only water and plant magic bloom feed (really minimal) and switched my lights to 12/12.

The plant is 38 days since sprout and has been bigger than my pineapple express running next to it the entire time but they seems to have hit a point where the pineapple has burst into flower and the other has stayed vegging like mad.

Plants of critical not flowering and pineapple in full flower to compare.

Any ideas?

Are sure you didn't mislabel them? Whats the light cycle set at?

how do you mean Mislabel? I stuck the seed packet to the pot I stuck it in to be aware of which is which! I was running 14/10 but have flicked to 12/12 since seeing pistils but the first to get them hasn't seemed to get any further!!

You're supposed to run autos 24-0 i thought... Anyway, fuck autos.. lol. This isn't the auto section so I can speak freely about them without feeling like a troll!! lol.

Haha I'm starting to feel the same sentiment, thought they'd be easiest for first grow to yield but far too unpredictable! Going amsterdam next week think I'll stick to regulars! Any ideas on gender?

Yo, I was just kidding when I said this! lol. I've never even grown autos! I just heard they're bad.. lol

I like being able to clone and decent when to start flowering... etc.

Hiya, firstly Autos can be Great! couple of Questions for You.. How come you switched the light cycle? most folks go with 18/6 or 24/0 or even 20/4 but I've only read of a few peeps trying 12/12 with an Auto(I have even flipped some KC45 Auto-Reg to 12/12 because they refused to start flowering, but this strain is to be avoided) My point is with Autos You generally don't mess with the Light Cycle..and certainly shouldn't(I say shouldn't) have to mess with the Light cycle> Hence Auto Flower...

imho with it being under only a 300w Dual(so is that like half side of the bulb is Daylight 6400K-bright and the other side is 2700K-Warm) and you have two plants sharing this Light...how close is the Bulb and do you have Horizontally hanging or Vertically...
I'm NO expert on Autos(or anything for that matter) but I think its a case(possibly) of Low amount of Lumens, yes I know it's not really Low, but distance and amount of plants make a difference, also the switching the light cycle to 12/12 has probably knocked it back a little and don't forget when You read the Info at Seed Banks they are quoting times based on maybe 1000w Grow Setup ups if not more...so always expect Grow to take longer in home Grows under less Light...

The reason they refuse is cause KC threw out some bunk genetics to make a fast $. The auto trait was nowhere near stable.He throws a cheap price tag on there. Breeds some regulars instead of feminized. (gets all the "Feminized seeds blah blah hermie" kids drooling) Throws the word auto in there so the guys thinking Hell yeah July auto harvest. Then makes a load of cash cause its at least a month or month& a half before people are like wait this isn't flowering yet what gives? Just search it and you'll see people all over the web complaining. The dopes not bad though. Threw a load of them out in July last summer and pulled em in with my other plants.

Yeah they was Cheap!! I did Grow a couple indoors, but I ran out of Space and Time...was about 6-7' when I chopped, I would consider starting few more(still got 10) and just sticking em outside somewhere after a few weeks..idk? but yeah You are right they wasn't stable,think they have sorted it now,though I couldn't say...but pretty sure you can get the Auto-Fem version now..just cost more...I still have one of the Original Lot that I started, quite stunted,very old and well just messing with it Suppercropping.

Not had the above problem with any of the latest Beans I've picked up though, all bean pretty good and not bad yield..

Vast n Fast / Cheese Candy / Cash Cropper / and one other, but i'm baked and mind gone blank.. but all these grew out fine and was a nice smoke, Cheese Candy being my Favourite i think...tasty!!

Well originally I decided on 14/10 for various reasons; energy where I live is cheaper from 8pm to 8am so I ran the lights from 6pm to 8am to reduce cost of the light, secondly I have kids so daytime running is not an option switch it on at their bed time. As for the dropping to 12/12 I read on multiple forums that not all Auto's will necessarily flOwer on any light and that dropping to 12/12 will force flowering.

I think what I'm more concerned that nobody has addressed is the question of if it's a Male or Female. I can now see little plant matter forming next to the pistils and I'm not sure if this is the start of hermie or the bud forming!!

A stable strain should go into flower without being put into 12/12. That's kinda the whole point of Autos.
