I would like to know if anyone has tried growing an auto-flowering plant on a 12/12 light schedule for flowering only, and how was the yield affected? I know its reccomended to grow autoflowers on 18/6 or 20/4 the whole way through, but theirs a good reason i ask this because i have a non autoflowering plant in the same room as my auto flowers, and its ready for flowering. :weed:

Post your experience, thanks.

I read this one post that he claimed he went 12/12 with an auto because he was in the same boat as you and he said they did great.

Of course, he didn't provide any photographs to solidify his claims.

Everything else I have read says that switching light cycles with an auto will hurt yield (unless its 18/6 from 20/4 or 24/0). Also, 12/12 will not have as good as yield as an 18/6. 20/4 or 24/0 (but you knew this).

In short, try it if you do not have a choice. When finished, teach others what you find out whether it be good or bad.

with a 12/12 light cycle you will get a stretched, weak plant.

Photoperiod has no affect on flowering with autos. You will just be depriving the girl of light that she needs to grow strong and healthy.

but if you have no other option, try it and see what happens. You can be the judge and make up your own mind about it.
