Attitude/RoyalMail--"Processed for delivery" 8 business days. Whats going on?

Finally posting this because it seems odd. Ordered from Attitude to west coast on 9-11, RoyalMail picked up package next day and since then status has not changed "has arrived in HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC and is being processed for delivery" for 8 business days!! Nothing about being passed to the postal service of destination country. USPS of course says that originating post is preparing shipment. Is this normal for my package to be sitting in the UK for 8 business days? If so seems pretty bunk to me!! Have read plenty of posts on this and everyone seems to at least get the message from RoyalMail that it has been shipped out of the country. Thoughts?? Any input is greatly appreciated. If the USPS is able to track it it usual means its in their custody, otherwise it would say no information available for this number. its probably in America.
Also on the royal mail website theres an online chat option "talk to Sarah" if you ask her shell tell you what you want to know.
 
Type your tracking number in USPS and see what is says. My royalmail tracking didnt update past heathrow either, but when i type in the tracking on usps it shows its in NY
 
I received my most recent order in 8 days tuesday to wednesday, on the east coast.... that was this week... i currently have two more orders on the way which are moving considerably slower, its all about luck. How fast royal mail moves, maybe a flight got delayed forcing your package to stay an extra day overseas. Maybe somebody misplaced it, who knows. But expect your package to arrive anywhere from 7-21 days. Also dont expect tracking to be spot on, untill that piece of mail arrives in the sorting facility on American soil, it wont be updated, which can take from 5-15 days. You will drive yourself crazy checking the tracking. Just relax spark a bowl and have faith, that they will come, and worst comes to worst BUY THE F*CKIN SHIRT!! and get them reshipped....
