atmospheric professionalism

well hello rollitup users. i have been gathering information on growing herb for some time now and a lot of the facts that come from different gurus seem to contradict one another. i have yet found a step by step system on how to control the atmosphere of your grow room. i know about temp. regulators and co2 dispensers and things like that. but i cant figure out how its supposed to be done because one source will say this and the other will say that. i want to know how long, when, what times , and why certain things need to be done. and i want it to come from ONE source, and it be a good source. keep fresh air in your room at all times? ok. how. i have other things going on. i live in a region where the summers are hot and the winters are cold. so i will need to know exactly how to keep my room temp at 75f at all times. mix in co2, carbon filter, exhaust fans and humidity control. how would you control all these elements in the best way all at the same time. and basics like plants only need co2 during lighting can be left out. hey thanks for reading and i hope you can help. thanks

If it were a fraction that hard very few of us would be doing it at all. A few points:

1. You don't have to keep temp or anything else at a single point. There are ranges for everything and they are wide. Temp 70s and low 80s in veg, a little cooler is better in late flower.

2. If you live in a residence you don't need to think about co2, there is plenty of co2 in the air.

3. Humidity matters. 50s and 60s for veg, below 50 and down to 30s for late in flower.
Dehumidifiers are costly, cool air humidifiers are not. I grow 3 seasons and not summer because it is much easier to raise temps and humidity than to lower them.

4. Fresh air? You can't have stale air, you need air movement. But again, rooms in a residence are not so well sealed you need to bring in air. One or two fans circulatin air is enough.

5. Whether you need a carbon filter or other odor control depends on your situation. I use low level ozone.

It really doesn't need to be much harder than that.

Jorge Cervantes' Ultimate Grow series. I Grow Chronic by Mr. Green is pretty good, although he's not the best at explaining things.
