Athena nutes in DWC?

I got some gas from that run. I switched to Flora Flex Full Tilt, it’s easier to use, plants LOVE it in RDWC(they have a feeding chart for RDWC) don’t have to use cal mag and gave me the less problems, biggest yield and the best quality up to date.

Athena is a great brand but I wanted to find a simple line of nutrients. With Athena besides their powder you have to add in liquids(Balance/Cleanse/Calmag) with Flora flex Cal Mag is added to their powder, no balance or cleanse. I add Orca for beneficial along with their nutes. If you follow their schedule you barely have to adjust PH during the week, the most PH stable line I’ve used. As far as price goes I get a 30% off from the something I would only get from Athena on Black Friday.
I second this, my grow shop gave me some free athena and floraflex for a side by side when the floraflex nutrients first came out. Personally floraflex mixed way better even in cold water and athena was ok. I tried jacks a couple years ago and it was too damn salty for my grow in coco even with drain to waste heavy runoff.

Makes me think, I can run Cyco or House & Garden and not even need heavy run off and get almost no visible salt buildup..

Not to thread jack but I'd like to see what the solution looks like.

When AG SALTS say they are "clean" they are referring to heavy metals etc they are not referring to it keeping your system clean. Just remember that... Ag Salts usually will crust the f*ck out of your system regardless of dwc/rdwc or coco.. It just happens.. Especially when Athena is recommending 3.00 EC....

"All in One" style solutions always have downsides as they use other chemical components and technologies to make it "all in one".

Hey brother I'd love to know what feed chart your using for floraflex in rdwc if ya could .
They just released the new feeding schedules. Any of these 3 depending on your preference. I’m planning on testing RDWC/DWC and if I want to use the low strengths to see how the strains like it then I try that as well with or without Cal/mag. They re-tweaked all their feeding schedules.

What I like about Flora flex is that the nutrient solution is clear unlike Athena it turns yellow, you use a lot less nutrients per gallon Plus the PH stability.

Hello! Are you still using the feeding schedule for rdwc? Are you satisfied with it? Have you tried raising the ec higher than 1.5 in their schedule? Are you adding anything else like call/mag or Full Tilt at last weeks?

I like that their feeding schedule for dwc is simple enough, I want to give it a try. Plus the target ec (and flow rate) is half that of the athena. I'm between flora and jacks right now.
Before I went with mega crop 1 part for couple of runs in rdwc but I'm tired of dirt in the roots. They say it is half-organic nutrients so the solution is pretty dirty. In addition, I want to compare the results with other simpler and cleaner salts.

Im also using the flora in rdwc and it does work well. Mixes easy, good yield and ease of use. You should go with it!

Could you please share what do you add besides a couple of base powders and what is your ec at peak flowering? How close are you to their feeding dwc chart? Thanks :)

Love it, using their RDWC feeding schedule and never going above the 1000 PPMs.

I didn’t use any CO2 this run, Results speak for themselves.

In addition, silicic acid e91, cal/mag, uc roots. More or less their schedule.
