Dear Ernst,

I don’t usually send you two messages in one day, but I hope you will understand when you hear the great news. The California Assembly Appropriations Committee just approved AB 2312, a bill we have all been working hard to pass. Most people thought this bill would die in the committee, but lawmakers noticed on Monday when over three hundred of you showed up in Sacramento for the largest medical cannabis lobby day in California history. It was hot and a little chaotic, but you made your voices heard!

This is an important victory. Now we have to mount an all-out campaign to pass the full Assembly before the May 31 deadline. You can help accomplish that, too. Take a minute right now to email your Representative in the California Assembly and ask him or her to vote yes on AB 2312 next week. Americans for safe Access’ (ASA) online action center makes it easy to find your representative and send a message right now.

Grassroots participation matters. That is why ASA makes training and mobilizing patients and advocates a top priority. Ordinary people like you helped beat the odds and get this bill over a big hurdle. And it is people like you who can get it approved by the Assembly and Senate. Keep pushing, and we will finally adopt this important bill.

You can read more about today’s vote on the ASA Blog, and learn more about the bill on our web site.

Thank you again for helping,

Don Duncan
California Director

P.S. – Don’t forget to send an email about SB 1182, too!

This is a good step forward.

Good folks who wish to simply provide seeds for others are targets for prison but where do people think plants come forom and how do you get the right plant for your medical needs without a choice?

Well Get active California.. I've never stopped.
