Arrested Development?

hey yall,

plants are 3 weeks old and i think they stopped growing at 10 inches. the stems are getting thick as mother fuckers and the leaves are dark green, each plant has 4-5 nods. however, it seems like there is no upward growing anymore. the pots are relatively small ( about 1 gallon)

What am i doing wrong?

repott flush and see what happened could be nute block or sumat might be wrong only a newbie grower myself...

it's the pot size. 1 gallon pots will get you about a 12" plant. i like 5 gallon (12") pots.

Sounds like your roots are bound up....

Time for a bigger pot for sure. We stopped using 1 gallon pots totally. We go from small rooting pots right to the 5 gallon pot. Try to stay ahead of the roots, up canning prior to getting root bound.

i let mine get a little root bound so they have a thicker root structure when i put them in a bigger pot. i go from 4'' to 6" then to 12". this gives the plant three "layers" of roots.

people will say rootbound to anything its just a cozy word.

truth is a plant can be grown past a foot in an 8oz party cup easy.

1 gallon planter would need to be a pretty big bonzai to be rootbound.

maybe im wrong, when u transplant show us the roots.

I'm sure you are right... maybe the plant just got tired of growing?

I don't see you offering up any alternative explanations for stunted or halted growth. What is your theory?
