With some major changes coming to cannabis in Canada in just over a month I wanted to make sure we could all do our part to fight the injustice and end the senseless prohibition on marijuana.
I urge anybody that hasn't done so already to sign the Liberal Party of Canada's petition. It can be found here http://petition.liberal.ca/end-prohibition/ . Also as we all know there is a federal election coming up in 2015 and our best bet to get legalization for all is to have a Liberal government. Not just a Liberal government though, we need an overwhelming number of voters to vote in favor of the Liberal party and their smart on crime and cannabis policy. This will ensure there is a majority ruling power with no opposition from the Conservatives.

There are also some things people can do in the mean time. I suggest supporting NORML Canada and the NORML Women's Alliance of Canada if you can. NORML has been fighting to end the prohibition on marijuana since the 70's and they do a ton of good things to get the issue out there and fight for the freedom of the prisoners of the drug war. Their websites can be found here http://www.norml.ca and http://www.normlwomen.ca .

The most pressing matters for patients right now is the shift from the MMAR into the MMPR. If you oppose the MMPR and feel this medicine should stay in the hands of the people and not big business there is the MMAR Coalition Against Repeal. I think we all know about this one right now but I will put it up anyway. http://www.mmarcoalitionagainstrepeal.com . Also anybody in Ottawa or the Ottawa area or planning to visit Ottawa soon there is a rally being held on April 1st, if you can be sure to go out and support the Medical Marijuana Patient Revolt.

Together I feel we can organize and legalize. Cannabis should be free to be used by everybody, in any matter they wish and no government should be able to tell you otherwise. In the coming years I'd like to see the fascist Harper regime gone and a more progressive, forward thinking government in place for the betterment of all Canadian citizens. Let's end this madness.

If you know of any other groups that should be featured or things that can be done, please feel free to add them and get the message out there. The more support we have the better.

Remember the media is your friend. The more exposure we get, the greater chance we have of getting the MMPR struck down,as well as forcing marijuana prohibition to become a major election issue. I would encourage everyone to write letters or send emails to radio and tv stations as well as newspapers. I have been interviewed twice on radio in the last few weeks in response to emails I sent. I was on CKNW last night after I sent a copy of the rant I posted on here. Not only does it help our cause..it's a hell of a lot of fun!

Careful with Norml and I only say that because I have been reading about the american counter parts....
who are now lobbying against the legalization of mj in the legal medical states....and are siding and lobbying for dispensing companies....
I was blown away when I first read it...If I remember correct it was in the Michigan or Maine med forum.....but either way.....they are being hypocrites
by lobbying for dispensor's and fighting against patients being able to grow for themselves......
sorta goes against what they supposedly stood for since the 70's
I think this was one of the articles....https://www.rollitup.org/medical-ma...tten-maine-residents-corporate-interests.html
