What is the best way to grow this strain? 5,10 or maybe even 15 gallon buckets? how many could i get under a single 1000w i was thinking 4 but its probally going to turn out to be just one. this strain is for personal use so i'm really looking for ways to grow this monster..i heard that if not given enough space the lower budsites will not produce.. is vegging out of the question?

For 1 big plant use the 15 gal under 1 1000 watter. The longeryou veg ( within reason) the larger the plant will be.Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

what kind of reflector would i use for a single plant i was thinking either a parabolic or maybe one of these LR-1000 from:
Bell Lighting Reflectors
i found a video on youtube it shows arjan growing it but it doesn't show the lighting

here's a link to the arjan video....anyone know why he uses black walls? he uses 6 1000w in "i guess" a 8x8 room maybe bigger...the reflectors he has is attached to the ceiling and is pretty far from the plants..they look like they are a fixed height? i've decided to build a whole room just for haze and need help with the proper lighting

Are you sure those are 1000 watt hps? Most set-ups I saw in the Netherlands used Phillips Son-Agro 600 watt lamps, usually in vented hoods for cooling. These are made there after all so are relatively inexpensive. I didn't even see 1000 watters for sale in Sensi Seeds hydro shop, only 600's. Of course Arjan could be using Seimens lamps from Germany, they are a supplier of 1000 watt lamps, use them myself.

they are def 1000watters he says so in the video...its just are very weird setup he has going...black walls, fixed reflector heights....

Yeah that does seem weird doesn't it? I don't understand the black walls either, opposite to everything I have ever learned about light dispersion, you would get no diffused lighting in the room, only top light. Maybe Arjan is doing this to control light levels tightly, but I still don't get it.

its flat black so it doesnt create heat, but he prob has fixed lights because they are 1000s, they can be that far away that early if there is enuf power (eg 1000watts) id do 2 plants under your 1000 watt light that should be more than enuf, like jimmy said tho the longer u veg the bigger the plant is and can produce more. as for arjans haze flowering is a long time and should be drawn out to the end about 12-14 weeks.

WHOA i just watched the actual greenhouse video on arjans haze WWW.GREENHOUSESEEDS.NL - Green House Seed Co. Amsterdam Since 1985 and this thing gets big!!! maybe 1 plant will do lol

i have another thread i started on hanging bare vertical bulbs in the room..this is supposedly a great way to grow 3ft+ plants but i don't know the exact details of the setup....

as far as the black walls go the heat is from the lamps so that would remain the same.. what changes is the reflectivity of the walls...i would imagine the room is mainly focused on the 1000 watters an the ceiling, but even that to is odd that they aren't adjustable..

Yeah the reason to use white walls is to reflect light on to the plants. Black would absorb any light that hits it. To me at least this seems like a waste of resources. I pay enough for energy that I want to use it as efficiantly as possible.

i dont mean to sound like im praising the black thing not at all! i def think the white/black plastic is the way to go but that plastic in that video i think is made for that scenario it is a flat black so it doesnt turn the light to heat but rather absorbs it.

dont follow that video to a t tho for your plant. just do you and if you get a prob thats what this place is for

i just realized....what an idiot i am...the black walls are because the camera was filming and white would reflect all the light black...doh
